2000 trans am ws6
yeah i got my ass handed to me realllllllllllly bad....we started from like 20 so then i threw it into 2nd and i was actually keeping with him neck and neck then 3rd he was out by like 3-4 car lengths and kept pulling fast....he also has full suspension, exhaust, and a chip...so he's up at about 350hp. it was still fun cuz thats one of my favorite cars

I pretty sure hypertec and jet make chips for the LS1 engines. My good friend has a Ws6 with a 100 shot nitrous with some other miscellaneous stuff done and it is freaking fast. Hate to say but our cl-s and tl-s don't have a pray against them.

they have a hypertech power programmer, useful to change the speedo for diff gears and the like, very little along the way of power, but does allow an auto to adjust shift points.
the new muscle mustang and fast ford has the 02 ss vs the 03 cobra. dynoed them.
03 cobra, 390 hp wiht like 381 at the wheels and the 325 ss with 317 at the wheels. remove the air silencer on the stang, add 13 hp, remove the filter on the ss add 11. mind you these are new cars with very low milage and not even broken in yet.
the ls1 for 01/02 should be making 325+ rwhp in essentially stock trim.
at the strip that was 12.8 for the stang and 13.2 for the SS wiht poor traction on each 2.0 and 2.2 respectively, and 108 and 107 with 30mph head wind. figure about .2-.3 off that with +3-4 mph in the traps on a better day. plus if they could launch, even better, DRs are a necessary evil on the f bod. true the rear is weak, but my brother on his firehawk sz250s would spin at the top of 1st gear (std trans), just as mine does with eagle F1 GS, mind you these are 275/40/17s. It's a funny feeling, get a decent launch by bogging a little, and start to hop at the top of 1, spin hard into 2, you get the picture, really holds the time up.
As far as performance parts, sure they're no 5.0s but the ls1 has a way bigger outlook than does hte acura, from chips, to suspension, to stroker kits, blowers and turbos and of course NOS, plenty to spend money on.
