2 Tint or not 2 Tint
I need your
!!!
I have a gold '01 CL and I live in Miami. The heat here is crazzzy. I would like to tint my windows to help keep the sun out. I was wondering if window tint would look good with gold.
If any other CLrs have pics of a gold CL (2nd gen) with tint, please post, It would really help me decide.
Thanks,
The Spazzz

I like how my ABP looks with tinted windows. Definately tint it.

the only reason cars shouldn't tint are if they're show cars and they have something they want to show off in the interior in the rear - but i doubt you're going that route - so get ur car tinted

I kind of want to do it anyway just because it keeps the car cooler, protects the interior from UV rays, and gives me some privacy.

I think it looks great. Makes it look very sleek and classy.

I think a tint will look good with the color of ur car but i wouldnt go too dark just keep it between 35 to 20%
Dont mean to go off topic but does anyone think it will be possible to put those blue windows from the mercedes into our CL kind of like swaping them out

I think if I do do it, it will be 15% all around because I like it dark.

how is everyone getting past inspection with tint below the legal limit? im going to be tinting again soon and ive never done below legal limit, but id like to if i knew more about it. legal limit in NC is 32% so ii'll be getting that, but id rather get 20-25%.

Definitely Tint it. Darkness depends on the person. Even if you go 50%, it's worth it for a subtle change. I like 20% on the rear and 35% on the sides so it doesn't look to
Side benefit is to filter UV and protect your interior. I've had a car for almost 20 years and the tint has protected the interior from fading and degrading.

My last DD I had springs/struts on and they def hurt the ride a bit, plus in the end it was money lost because not many people want a modded car. Just trying to think a little more long term, since I think my cl-s is nice enough to keep until its dead.
tint it, check the law in florida about the tint % in ohio has to be 45 up i had a bmw tint at 35% got a couple ticket thats when i got pull over and they got to have a tint measure to give me a ticket, i think it will look good on gold, plus protect your inside from heat, Ill still tint below legal limit, they dont care about tinted window there busy eating donuts.
Question #2
I have a OEM spoiler.... do i leave a spot open for the CHMSL or do i just tint over it? The spoiler already has a third brake light, and the one in the window is disconnected. Thanx

well anyway, the guys at Tint King did the rear break light no problem without removing anything. therefore it can be done. Took them 1 hour to finish everything.
So I guess if they know what they're doing you don't have to remove the seat and rear deck.
