2 questions.....

First.....I saw a post yesterday that gave the tip of "not running our car through a car wash"....is there any specific reason for this tip, other than automated car washes suck?? I have run my car through a car wash like that once or twice, but just today noticed some very light scratches on all four of my rims?? and have no idea where they came from. I wondering if they came from the stupid car washes I've gone through.

Second....any problems with changing the factory wheels and tires out, but not the springs? I would like to change the wheels and tires, possibly to 18"s but I'm not ready to do the springs yet. Any input?

You can bet the house that your scratches came from the automated car wash. Did you go to the one on Buford Hwy?

Just more proof that UF is better than FSU.

Sounds like you answered your own question there doesn’t it ???

I am getting 18” RIMS for my 03.
I’m still undecided if I’m getting SPRINGS or not.

Damn.....go figure.....I finally find another member that is in atlanta......and they have to be a UF fan. Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Actually I went to the one on pleasant hill road and steve reynolds. Do you know if the scratches can be buffed out at all? Ahh screw, just gives me another reason to get the 18s.

So Gator, what part of Atlanta are you in? How long have you had your CL?? Do you know of any good stereo or mod shops in the area? I haven't been able to find any good ones.

As far as UF being better than FSU......we will have to address that at another time. :P Oh, and by the way.....sorry about your coaching situation..... :'(:

Nole,

You might want to do a search on the scratches, but IMO you are screwed, so start looking at some 18's.

I live over by Emory and have only had my car for 3 months. As far as mod shops in Atl, I haven't used one yet, but word is Eiffel's Place is supposed to be great. The guy was a head tech at the Acura dealer in Smyrna. That's where his shop is too. I can get you his info if you are interested.

The coaching situation doesn't matter. We'll have Gruden in 3 more years...

Here is the info:

Eiffel's Place
1791 Roswell Rd
Marietta, GA 30062
770-509-8883

I haven't looked too hard for mods around town, so you might want to continue asking. This guy modded my tint guys RSX-S. Have you seen any CL-S's around town with MODS? I have only seen stocks around.

I just got this after owning a Civic EX coupe for 7 years, so the car seems pretty fast to me right now. I will probably go for an intake sometime soon though. I feel the car needs a little jump in its step.

Thanks for the info....I will have to check them out

I really haven't seen many moded CL-s around either. I work in mid town but live out in gwinnett so I do a lot of driving, but don't see to many. I've only seen one with aftermarket rims.

I think I'm just goin to do the stereo, rims and suspension. What benefit does the intake give you? Does it give better "torque" from a stop??

You've probably tapped a curb or something......they stick out over 1/4" past the tire, so its hard not to scratch them!!!!!!
