I am not sure those rims are suited for the Max. I see them more on benzes, esp cl500s. Spoilers are just that, spoilers, that one actually does not look bad. Lip spoilers are the only one that actually adds to the car's look.

The seond was with slicks and a lot of weight reductions ( no passenger seat, not jack,no spare and 13lb carbon fiber and slick rims... no that thing you see on the road.

Carbon fiber hood (13lbs vs 46lbs stock), some pretty lightweight 15's w/ slicks the combo weighs 25lbs each in the front, my 17" Koseis and T1-Ss in the rear (36lbs each). Passenger seat taken out, spare, jack and trunk cardboard thingy removed. Race weight with 1/4 tank of gas and me in it is 2905 give or take a few lbs if I am bloated or not

Come on now....The weight reductions that they are mentioning are jack, spare, and passenger seat. Nealoc187's car is light from the factory. If anyone on this board was into drag racing they would do the same thing.

Our AUTOs with I/H/E are pulling 14.3s with out slicks, weight reductions, y pipes and all the non carb added removers. You guys are funny, this debate will go on forever. You really can't compare 2 times from a different track, which is about 3 hours away. What MPH did you guys hit?

no 14.5s are norm for a CLS 6spd stock.. have you seen the TOV video..

Come on guys keep the flames out. The Maxima is a fast car very close to the CL-S in speed. I'm glad to see the guy broke into the 13s looks, like he put alot of work into it...can't wait to see a CL-S do the same.

I don't care how fast the Maxima's are running. I still prefer my CLS
I'm a coupe guy, so I could care less what a 4 door is running in the quarter mile. The maximas are nice cars (for the price), but they just don't do anything for me.
The one fact that everyone seems to be missing here is that no matter how fast the Maximas are running they are still datsuns... ahh... I mean Nissans

The max guys are changing cams, gears, clutches, y-pipes, and every damn thing else. The modds we all do here are i/p/h as far as go fast modds. Furthermore, it's a sedan, we have coupes, obviously we have different goals/needs/wants for our cars when we bought them.

For the rest of ya...remember...Neal has a 96 Maxima with 190 crank hp STOCK....all he's done for performance is intake, y-pipe and JDM variable intake manifold....that's IT....
If you want to compare the 6-speed CL-Ss with mods...compare them to a 6-speed max with mods...one ran 13.88@102 mph last night

Thats my point ALOT OF WORK INTO IT. With our limited number of mods we are doing extremely well at the tracks.

actually we don't have shit worth of aftermarket...all you can do to an N/A max from 97 up is intake, exhaust, and an underdrive pully...we don't have cams available YET...we also don't have different final drives available....our y-pipe is basically the same thing as your headers...you guys have a bigger after market than we do N/A wise.

TypeSKiller-i wish i lived near you so we could run, id bring my 98 civic coupe tho...i got a dilemma similar to yours...to spray or not to spray, either way its really no competion with the time in your sig, even if you sprayed your time would probably still be 1-1.25 second off if i sprayed too.
