Alright this past weekend was very good for finding people that wanted to play. First I ran into a TLS exactly like mine ('03 Aegean Blue). We were the only people driving our cars, and we raced 4 times. 2 from a stop where I put a car or more on him both times by about 80, I got a much better launch than him both times. Once from 50 and once from around 70. The weird thing about the last two is that I was pulling on him pretty hard, considering having the same car, by the end of third, he was at my bumper and falling back. He was completely stock as I am with the exception of the K&N, which can't make that much of a difference. What do you think??

The second race was with a Harley Davidson. This guy was revving his engine and asked me to run, so I figured what the heck. It was a fully dressed Harley, don't know what kind, sorry. We went from about 15 mph, and when I hit 3rd I was a little less than a bike length behind and starting to reel him in when he let off at about 85-90. I would have had him!!! Was he playing with me or is this normal, I have never raced a HD before?? I know he was on it it, because he turned the tire over when he hit 2nd???? He was pissed when we pulled up to the next light, he was just shaking his head, and wouldn't look at me! Any ideas??

 

HD should be a close race. They have the power advantage but they are heavy. I think in general they are a tad faster from a stop.

The TLS race just shows that you got a better launch. I've raced a similarily modded CLS in my TLS at the track and since he got a better launch he pulled on me the whole time down the track and beat my 14.8 with his 14.4.

 

Had you gone from 20 instead of 15 you would have beaten that HD. BTW get headers and you will beat that HD with ease.

 

I totally understand why I beat the other TLS from a dig, I had a better launch, but the other 2 races from 50 and 70, I shouldn't have been able to put that much on him with just a drop in filter, unless my car is a quick one or his is a slow one, right??

I think he means the bike.....the HD F150 would whoop his ass...those fuckers are fast. I believe they run mid-low 14s? (correct me if I'm wrong)

haha...I was thinking the F-150 HD! Thats why I said what I said. I don't think the f-150 will destroy a CLS/TLS but it should win most races.
