2 features and 2 questions

If you hold the key in the doorlock for a few second it unlocks the passenger door. Also, the small cylinder cupholder, if moved to the back part, is sort of springy and conforms to the size of the cup or bottle. Was this a designed feature or am I gettting schizo? Anyone have any views on the new cupholder and the new CD holder which replaces the tray.

Yep, everything is working correctly.

The CD holder ISN'T new. It has been on the new TL since day one.

I had the CD holder on my '00 TL and found it to be pretty useless... but I would bet its not as useless as that stupid tray the non-nav CL's have.

I havent seen the new cupholder yet.

Yeh, that damn tray above the radio is USELESS! As for the key thing, my Sebring had that feature too. I think it's becoming std on most cars now.

That tray isn't useless, it rocks! Perfect size for a little pad of paper and a pen to keep handy for when you need to jot something down (address, phone number, shopping list, etc.)

Also, the tray has a credit card section that is perfect for holding all the stupid video store, price club, car wash cards that used to contribute to my George Costanza wallet.
