I was out getting food in the middle of the night at irvine... we each took our own car and we did a run together... CL and MR2 are autos and the 240sx is a 5spd... Here are the mods

2.2CL: Homemade 3" intake down to the lower grill, Header, Removed Caty, 2.25" pipe, 4" muffler with silencer, AEM pulleys, Bosch +4 plugs, 9.3mm wires, 194 LED all around, Striped rear interior/trunk, Venom 400, 1 Girlfriend and some tacos/drinks

MR2: Stripped interior, Short Ram, TEIN coilovers, CF hood, Buritos/7-up

240sx: Completely removed AC system, H&K intake, Bosch +4 plugs, Magnaflow Muffler, Indiglo gauge, Short shifter,#4 and #6 meal at Tacobell....

Ran 2 times...1st run at take off.. we pretty much evened at the launch with 240sx slightly in the lead... Stayed around 40 i started pulling on mr2 and evening up with 240... Kept pulling on mr2 and stayed even until around 60.. then 240 starts to slightly pull forward... We shut it down at around 80 with 240 in the lead by 1/3 of a car length and i'm about 1 car length ahead of MR2...

I was quite satisfied with the result considering my car is FWD and about 400lbs heavier to begin with + I have another person on my car..

Good runs. What year is the 240? Is it the SOHC or DOHC motor. Tell your buddy to do the SR20DET swap and he will be running 12s on slicks. My cousin is. Those are fun cars. I don't like MR2s - any year...

what hp you pushin to the wheels in your 2.2?

I don't know how much I have.... but i've killed almost ANY 4 cyl i've come across... (never ran Preludes.. kinda intimidated)

Nah.. my friend's got a 89 240sx... and hez got ANOTHER 240sx with a SR20DET with Turbo running 8psi with BOMX bodykit and orange paintjob.... hez got alot of sponsorship on that car... Now that one i've driven and went out and just pure massacre the ricers and domestics....

does the 240sx have white rims or it did? if so i think that car was at phase2 getting the swap done...i could be wrong tho

gregshin, what do you run w/ your swap? Do you know what numbers your putting to the wheels? What part of LA do you live in?

haven't ran the car yet...still finishing up some mods here and there. I just got some new yokohama AVS tires for the rear and installed some KYB AGX adjustable shox saturday. This week im gonna finish up my 300zx brake upgrade....then i'll be done with the car for "now" i will then end up dynoing my car in torrence R and D i believe its called. but im hoping im hitting at least 230hp to my rear wheels on stock boost

not bad for a car that wieghs less the 2800lb with driver.
