well on the way to work i raced a dodge 1500 v8 ram..........i lost by 2 1/2 cars then on the way home i raced a newer dodge dakota.......once again i lost by a car

Its you and the car. I beat a brand new full size chevy truck on the 1/4. I have beat my friends V-8 dakota on the 1/4 and on the street. I got a 2.3

I'm not saying you're a liar, but I highly doubt it.
Our 2.3CLs are tagged as sluggish cars. 0-60 in 9secs. Enough said!

My best friend has a RAM 1500 HEMI V8. This monster has 350h.p. leashed to it. It can slam a 0-60 in 8secs.
The chevy Silverado 1500s are only at 300h.p.
I don't think we have to boast about beating some crappy pick up trucks. We drive compact cars for God's sake.
But I still demand visual proof on your 2.3CL "smoking" a RAM 1500 HEMI.

FYI, Dakotas are shitty trucks, with horrible engines, with very poor shifting and loose torque.

I would like to hear things like: I smoked a VW Golf GTI VR6, or an Impreza... something along those lines..... NOT!

Well for one, I never said I beat a Hemi. I said I beat a full size CHEVY truck. When you are on a track, or anywhere for that matter, A LOT has to do with the driver. When I raced the chevy, if the race would have been another 50-100' longer, he would have beat me. When the light turned to green, I had like 2 lengths on him because he couldn't hook up. He just kept spinning his tires. So he spent the whole race playing catch-up. IF HE WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW TO RACE, HE WOULD HAVE SMOKED ME!

I don't have any proof other than a couple witnessess. And besides, what do I get out of it lying to you about whom I have won/lost to. None. Maybe you should learn to read rather than trying to find flaws in someones story. I was just telling people what I have beat. Do I give a rats ass what you think? No...

About your complaint about the Dakota. I have 2 friends and my father that have them and they are great trucks. We have taken one more places than I can even imagine. We have serioulsy beat the crap out of it and it just asks for more. The engine is a 4.7 liter V-8. Which is the same engine they put in the full size rams, durangos, Jeeps and many other Chrystler products. So its not a crappy engine with crappy torque.

Maybe you should do your research and learn how to read before you start spouting off at the mouth.

racing does have alot to do with the driver and what not, but i dont understand why i just read three threads about first gen cl's racing work trucks to be honest with you.. and they were all 2.2/3's
