Well i was driving home from work today and had the windows down and sunroof open. It was a nice spirited drive home. Then I came across a red porche carerra i believe. Got me excited. I didn't try to run him because i'm not insane..but he let me stay w/him after about 60. But from the light, he took off..

Anyway, he was gone and i had to make a left turn. I came to a stop sign and there was a city public water truck next to me. The new ford f-150 triton V8's. I wasn't intending on racing him..but i was still pumped up from the porche and redlined my car just to see how fast it took.

(This is the first time i've taken my car past 5.5k, and i've had the car for two months now) And next thing i know, the ford takes off with me and passes me up. I laughed and i saw him in his rear view mirror with a smile. So i thought, ok.

At the next stop sign, i lined up with him and we took off.. He had bout 1/4 length on me, and i was startin to gain a lil bit, but i scratched 2nd because of excitement. (lol) And i think i lost by a car length. Maybe he just let off.

Then when we came to the light, he rolled down his window and said that his truck was only two weeks old..(i was thinnkin to myself, 'okay...') And i was like..well thas a v8 right? He's like yea..and i'm like..this is a 4 banger. He's like, turbo charge it. And i'm like..yea right. And he took a right and i turned onto my street.

Nothing special..but one of my first races and thought i'd post it up.

But he had a v8. I'm pretty sure they're faster then our first gens tho.. Oh well..it was my first *real* race..and its koo, i'm not sweatin it..not until i get a real fast car.

Not sure what's so funny... those things have gobs of torque.. and it's all down low. They should beat a first gen 2.2 off the line and on short runs.

That sucks man! was is a single or extra cab? If you didn't miss second you should have beat him tho right? No matter what you would hav pulled ahead after 60. Trucks are so slow top end. (most anyway)

 

There's a couple stock F150s that would hand you guys your asses

 

always coming around to support the muscle crowd. Technically that f-150 is not stock. Considerng that SVT has modified it big time..

But I guess you are actaully right, it does come from the factory like that. It is the only truck that I would actually want to drive.
