yeah man just bet like a Comptech SC and you'll be happy I dont even know why you thought he would beat you, you could beat him stock vs stock or even if he had an intake and you didnt, cause the LS weighs quite more than your CL and plus you have an extra 10 Horses. Just beat him and take his car, money, and house.

The 0-60 on the 1990 LS400 is almost over 9 or 9.5 seconds... 1/4-mile in the 16's!!

This race is an absolute joke...

You will absolutely piss on him. My friend has a 94 SC400 with HKS exhaust and I absolutely murder him off the line. I would bet MORE that $35 if possible.

I've also raced a 96 5-speed maxima w/ y-pipe, intake, and exhaust, and I beat him pretty easily as well (but not as bad as the SC400). Just shut VSA off, put it in SS, and make your shifts at 7000 RPMs. You'll beat him for sure.

make sure to ask him if he is stock. if he is spraying your going to lose

and make sure you dont do it from a roll cause those things get up to 100 mph pretty quick!

but if he is stock you will smoke him so bad its not even funny...

i think this race is all about the launch

but dont get too disapointed if you dont launch perfectly. i rember civic4982 and i raced once and he was spinning through 1st and 2nd i was about 3 car lengths ahead of him but all of sudden he crept and crept and barely passed me up. he had a 6-speed stock and i had i/h/e

my dad has a 91 ls400 and I can tell you for a fact your cl will embarass it. The lexus has alot of torque which feels great but in terms of speed I can embarass it in my stock cl any day.

I've beaten both the manual Maxima and a LS430, along with a SC430 at the track.

I will tell you if you don't launch good the 430s may pull you at the end . . especially if you don't have a clear 1/4 mile marked off . . the SC430 would have caught me by 110 or so.

ruf, he's talking about the ls400, not the 430's...

plus, its a 1990 ls400, not a previous gen ls400
