19" club

Okay fella's, I'm not talking about your dick size..who else got 19's? I'm really thinking of going down to 18's. All these mods (CAI and headers seem really useless) with large wheels..and the rotationional issues (cant find that thread). Anyways, I'm gonna take my car to the track and see the differences with stock 17's/18's (borrowed from my friends accord), and my 19's...I'll post time slips

when i first put my 19s on in the beginning of winter... i didnt notice a huge difference.

then i went back to 17s for first snow fall..

when i slapped the suckers back on in spring... i really noticed how much they slowed me down.

but ya know what? WHO CARES! They look soooo dope

I felt no differnce in speed but that could be because the rims are lighter than my stock 17s. What I did feel was the road.

What's the difference

Could you folks be more specific about the differences you're feeling?

I'm trying to decide whether to upgrade to 225/50/17 or 225/45/18. I'm leaning towards 17" given that I need all-seasons and the ability to survive the roads in downtown Boston, but maybe if 18's offer significantly better performance I'll accept the extra risk (rims in potholes and winter traction).
