18's Without Springs?

I'm looking for some pics of 18's without springs. Do they look any good?

I have one I can probably scan in for you when I get home b/c my car had 18" rims/tires about a month before I lowered it.

To be totally honest with you it looks horrible. Like a 4x4. you think there's wheel gap now... wait until you put 18's on.

Ick! My factory rims already look sweet without a lift...maybe I'll just keep those.

Or you could just get springs. H&R's are under $200 and Comptech's are only a bit more. Handling is greatly improved as is looks... so it's not a bad investment....

Trust me I looked into it... I just can't spend that much on the install. Most shops were quoting me $500 or so. Belive me I went around and around on that one. Thanks for the info though...

I had 18's with no drop. Looked very 4x4ish. I really didn't mind though. Looked fine to me.

Only if you use 225/40/18 tires will the wheel gaps be even bigger, because the tire size is smaller than oem. Use 225/45/18 then the tires will fill up more wheel gaps.

Holy crap... $500 for an install? Wow. I paid $200 for my install, and that's considered high (NY is kind of high on this stuff). Heck, even my dealer in NJ (Park Ave Acura) only charges about $240. You should be paying $500 or less for the springs and the install total.

That's actually not 100% true (it's like 90% ). It is the closest size to OEM, however, it does not fill up more wheel gap... it still looks worse then with the stock rims/tires. Not totally sure why, but it does. I had 225/45/18 when I didn't have the springs, and the difference is pretty drastic....

Hey Junior beam.

Please enlighten me.

I'm gonna get 18's for sure. I just need info. on springs (comptech or Eibach).

Also camber kit (necessary or not - and for which springs).
Thanks!

I personally have the H&R Sports and I love them... but I needed a camber kit.

If you go Comptech you will not need a camber kit... if you go Eibach the odds are very high that you will.. b/c I believe they drop close to or more then the H&R.

So, will I be safe with 225/40/18's and comptech springs only?

About how long will the stock struts last?

Thanks a bunch! ! !
