18" Rim Help

Trying to get new 18's that will not rub. I'm going to run 235-40-18's. Comptech drop. The Racing hart C3's I had rubed. I think those were +42 offset. Will a +43 offset avoid rubing? What's the mimium offset I can use with out rubing?

Thanks

Not sure about the minimum.. but I'm running 225/45/18 on a +45 offset and I'm not rubbing... and I'm dropped more then what the Comptech springs lower (I have H&R Sports). Just some info for ya....

its not the offset that you have to worry about, it is the size of your tires thats rubbing. 235 is to big just get 225 and it wont rub

Can't I already have 235-40 18 tires. Need the rims. Others have the same size without problems.
