gotta love the cold weahter.. its ALL about the weather!!! nothing more. The weather is to blame for all the inconsistancies of times for all of us across the country. period. its truely amazing just how big a role the weather plays in a cars performance.

Uh yeah that's true of all cars

That's part of why they have SAE correction on dynamometers so people at different elevations and in different temps/humidity can compare equalized data. =)

Are you just realizing this now or something?

Don't forget .. John also is one of the few people on this board that knows their car INSIDE and OUT .. he's got the launching and everything down cold. He's also spent a lot of time tuning his car to perfection .. and that counts for a lot b/c just bolting on stuff won't necessarily net you the same results as John has seen.

He still needs to beat me first and that hasn't happened yet, as in warmer temps I've always won.
His times in the cold are better, since I've had a hard time getting out to the track the last month.
That said, awesome times John, congrats!
I guess my 14.5's in 80 degree temps could equal 14 flat in the cold, who knows.
I hope we can make it out to the track together soon John, I want a piece of that red rocket!

Let's rephrase. Is John's the fastest auto with "bolt ons" only?

Yeah, I thnk so... MattG was in the .1s but I haven't seen any N/A autos trapping over 100mph...

Excluding TypeR, of course.

i'll stir the pot a bit.

if you want to be technical about it, since john has the p&p heads and intake stuff he doesn't qualify for quickest "bolt on" auto.

the last time i went to the track i ran a 14.20 @ 99.something on my first run. temp was 63. so i think i could run right with john, maybe even a little quicker. :P

but he has the bragging rights for now. proof is in the slips, and if you don't have them you don't have shit to say. i have a couple slips in the 1's and a handful in the 2's so i can talk.

If you payed attenion you wood have seen my torgue and hp drop after porting and polishing I ran 14.27 before I did that. I then put ice box in and changed plugs with a nice hp gain I have now recored 245 runs at the track and 133 dyno runs I thought the idea of the forum was to help each other I have shared my ideas with you I have now been racing my car at the track for 4 years. I also have been for 35years before you were born.

I have one in the 2s, and three in the 3s. I have 50 runs total, all on stock suspension. 48 of them are on stock tires. Hopefully, I'll have TEINs in the spring, and hopefully, I'll be doing better with the DRs, too.
