Mustang GT 94' 5.0 bored out, intake, exhaust.
Mustang GT 03' Exhaust
Celica lots of stickers and clothes dryer piping
Dodge Dakota 5.9 R/T Exhaust Intake
So I think that makes me the quickest POSTED Cl on the board
Sorry SFLA-TYPE_S it was just meant to be
I do have a video and i will try to get it put up its hilarious.
I also convinced a fellow Cl-S owner to join our board, he said hes buying the ZEX kit tommorow .

Welcome to the mid-13 second club. I knew someone would eventually beat me, I'm glad to see it was someone local that I know. Don't think for a second that I will just sit there & let you gloat though, I will be going to the track soon to re-claim my title
Maybe you can come with me & we can run each other (ON VIDEO)
Imagine what a race that will be?

great run man....but i still got you on the trap speed (14.0@107)....i cant believe you did it w/out the headers, DAMN...
btw..its not to surprising to see an auto CL w/ the same mods as a 6mt running just as fast....unfortunately some motors are built better than others....
congrats man....

what are you talking about? anytime you can smooth out the air flow it's going to make a positive difference.

We'll wait & see what happens with CLSmike's car. Maybe his will be different.
Not so Fast
you said you were the fastest CL? Hoffhines did 12.7 1/4 mile. Sounds to good to be true but i saw it with my own eyes!!
Just thought you should know and he's representing the 1st gen!!!!!! (of course with the 6spd tranny).

But I do have one question concerning discrepancies in the signature which I assume is due to a lack of updating.
Hayden transmission cooler on a manual?? It is not unheard of but not typical nor is a Hayden, which is known for automatic transmission coolers along with other cooling components, used for a manual transmission cooler??
A 33mm throttle body is terribly small, sure that isn't a typo??
a CL-S six speed tranny in a 1st gen??? i dont beleive that one bit unless i see proof, thats got to be a 10k job like scalbert said...who the fuck is dumb enough to do this?? why not just buy the real car??? converting an auto CL-S to a 6 speed CL-S hasnt even been done or tried...and you are claiming to have the 6 speed tranny in a first gen?? its an entirely different car...i just dont beleive it, like i said, it hasnt been attempted on an automatic CL-S, and at least for an existing CL-S the parts would mate easier and the interior peices swap right in....
without pics or video proof, this car, and a 12.7 run are not believable.

Although I'm not as skeptical as other, you have to understand that until seen, these types of significant changes are often looked upon with skepticism until proven wrong. As Jim mentioned, in a different manner, putting this amount of money (possibly nearly up to the value of the car if not more) into a vehicle with limited capability is far stretched. But I have seen stranger and will reserve judgment until evidence is provided!!
The manual swap, unless done entirely by yourself, would have cost $6000 plus. You mentioned the front axles being used but don't mention the changes required as the front track is wider on the current CL. That alone would run up some number for an axle shortening and balancing.
Also, where did the front engine mount go which attaches to the manual transmission??
With the head grind, what did the CR go to??
You mentioned Accord pistons but I was under the assumption that the 3.0 CL and the AV6 used the identical engine??
You also mention the VAFC is new but you are running the AEM ECU also. That makes no sense what-so-ever as the AEM ECU would perform well beyond the need for the very limited VAFC. This is a very poignant aspect and one that does deserve scrutiny; especially when you say a “programmed ECU”. Is this the new AEM ECU or a re-programmed stock ECU (which AEM does not claim to do)??
Is the AEM ECU or the VAFC handling the adjustments needed for running the Type-S cam?? Also, how is the ignition (the proper way to spell ignition) timing issues being altered while running those cams (remember there are two)??
How is the wet shot plumbed; into each individual runner??
Based on what you have provided so far the car would be able to make about 300 WHP on the high side, and being very generous. Granted the 1st gen CL was lighter but not 1000 lbs lighter. 300 WHP on a 3200 lb car would equate to low 13’s at best. This is provided you had good traction.
Again, this is possible but not entirely plausible which is the reason for skepticism.
