Went out to the track last night and got some runs in. I haven't had too much of an opportunity to get out there since the fall and run with my newest mods.

Best run of the night was 13.210 @ 105.96 with a 1.936 60'. Was a personal best, but I still was a bit dissapointed. Driven well, my car should be in the 12s. I just need more work on getting the 60' down around 1.83-1.84 and it'll be right there.

Oh well, there's always next time.

I wish I was a 13 second driver in my 15 second car.

 

You need slicks.......I had the Nitto Drag Radials on my 93 Cobra, and I had traction problems. Get some 15inch wheels with some ET streets.......you'll easily get into the high 12s.

 

Practice, practice, practice........ you'll definetly get into 12's

 

Yeah...most definitely could pull the 12s with ET Streets. I'd like to do it with the DRs (my normal street trim). That's my goal for now at least.

I sincerely hope u do get in the 12's- but with your trap speed I think you might need some more mods to do it. Good luck!

 

I hope you also have some new rear suspension. I put HP mega-bite jr upper and lower control arms on and it made a world of difference. You'd hit the 12s by just doing that.

 

Control arms and ET drags will put you in the 12's easy. With a stick, you should be pulling close around 1.7 60 foots with the mods you have. Nice little daily driver you got there though

 

Should have waited for the awsome independent rear suspension! I heard traction is killer now!

I briefly looked at Mustangs back when I was thinking of upgrading from my Ford Turbocoupe, I just could not get over the rear suspension set up! Almost same as my T-bird.

Heard any specs on the new blown Cobra?

 

IRS sucks for the drag strip. Live axle is better by far in that application.
