1. Brakes 2. covered or not covered?

CLS 5AT 03.... I don't really beat on brakes that bad, but I wouldn't say I drive like a granny either... wondering what my best braking options would be... My front brakes are squealing right now but theres no vibration at all in the steering column so its not the rotors, i know that much...had my CL almost a week now...bringing car to acura dealer wednesday because tranny is slipping, check engine light on, installing OEM spoiler, side airbag light flashing occasionally and also the pass. heated seat is not functioning... guessing i should go to the dealer i bought the car from before wednesday to check brakes, hopefully they'll give me new pads free?...My last question is if i get new rotors like the rotoras, do they need to be professionally installed or can it go to a mavis discount tire type place? and do they take different pads... i'm so lost...

Just cuz your brakes are squeeling doesn't nessisarily mean they are worn out and need replacing, unless they squeel real bad and that's to tell you you need to change them. For example ceramic pads tend to squeel often even if they are not worn out at all. As far as changing your rotors, it's never bad to chnge them and anybody that can do your brakes can do the rotors as well, they shouldn't even charge you for changing rotors. When you replace the brakes you have to take the caliper out of it's place, and then the rotor is 2 screws away from comming off, it wud literally take you 1 minute or less to do once the caliper is off. The pads are gonna always fit no matter what rotor you put on them, unless it's a big brake kit and it's a different size caliper and rotor.

I dought that ebay auction is a fake, but yes that does look like a good price. Wether you need new rotors or not is another thing though...but if you change them atleast they wud look more flashy being drilled n all

Good luck with the A/T...no matter what it's under warranty for a while so u shud be good on that, as far as the brakes, it's a wear and tear part so i'm almost positive they won't replace them for free, but who knows, since you just bought the car a weak ago you could try them and see if they'll change them for you since you were not the one that wore them out, you got it like that.

good luck...

Go with a company that is reputable so you aren't banging your head on the wall when your ebay rotors crack.

if you bought from a non-Acura dealer, they probably put jobber brake pads, the reason of the squealing.

i suggest you get yourself better brake pads (i even suggest better than acura original)

I knew I remembered that.

Like Excelerate said, they are real. The problem is quality. I would say though that if it's squeeling, it's more likely that your pads suck. Try those first. If you need new rotors....I would go with Rotoras. If you do a search, you would find that a lot have been said about those e-bay rotors.
