1/4 Times??

I did a search, and could not find much info on the times/upgrades that people have done.

I see allot of people with the headers, but what performance gains in the 1/4 did they give??

my '02 CLS will be my daily driver, but I still want to be able to take most of the things on the road.

I was wanting to get the headers, and possibly polish the intake(all the way to the heads), then get the MMod when available.
Then have a 50-75 shot handy when needed.

All I have done now is a K&N and synthetic oil.

I would like to hit low 14s on motor, thanks for any posts on your times/setups, and any suggestions would be appreciated as well.

i ran a 14.302 @98.69 back in april. 65 degrees, humidity wasn't too bad. mods are: headers, aem cai, and light weight wheels. in july is was 80+ degrees and my best run that day was 14.422 @97.84. carlsbad uses a bunch of vht so i always experience mad wheel hop when I launch hard. If I could launch the car aggressively I know I can hit 14.0x and maybe a 13.9x if the conditions are right.

My CLP ran a 14.83 in a cold night, and a 15.1 in a hot hot humid night. I have CAI, Pulleys and Denso plugs.

13.89@101.92mph Englishtown Raceway Park

Intake, Headers, & Torque Converter.

The biggest performance gain I got was from the torque converter. It was built at Level 10. They boast up to a full second off your 1/4 mile time. I didn't get to make too many runs with it but that was my best. It was in cool weather at night with stock tires... Before that I was running 14.4's.
I wouldn't reccomend it for everyone! I ENJOYED it but I had PROBLEMS.
First off the ride is totally different. You can fell the car shifting harder. Smooth, slow city street driving is totally sacrificed!
Hard driving caused me problems. On my way to a CL/TL meet in Long Island my tranny started leaking fluid...??? Fluid dripped onto headers & stared somking.

On the other hand:
I shocked the shit out of a lot of people who thought the CLS couldnt get into the 13's.
For those of you that like to do burnouts and couldnt thats your answer.
That awful hesitation from first gear to second, and second to third was totaly eliminated~! The car accually revved all the way out before shifting

Damn. What the hell is wrong with my car??

Best I've seen so far is 14.92 @ 92.80 mph with slicks. Oh well......
Need RES, and headers for next spring.

My 60'... 2.187, 330...5.885, 1/8th...8.897, mph 78.56, 1000...11.651. 13.89@101.92

Yeah I Had the leak fixed but by best dealer in NJ.
Park Ave Acura SEALS were leaking...

As for the legal problems I've heard that too. They weren't too helpful when I told them of my problem. They said that it would be fine. Now I dont bulid trannies all day, but when you have fluid leaking, it's not fine!

The last time I e-mailed them they told me they have more stuff for my car, but I'm not interested.

X-man's... not me.

I'm outta the speed game, I'm going to get some big, slow 19's.
