1/4 Mile times and Dyno #'s

I was just wondering what some of the better 1/4 times are here.
Can you guys post them if you have them? Also what kind of "SAE" hp do you guys put down?

Also, if anyone is interested in the Chicagoland area....Great Lakes Dragaway is offering free racing opening weekend. Would any of you CL/TL guys wanna run some Maximas for shits and giggles???

My best was 14.302 @98.69 another 143.xx @98 and scores of 14.4s on up. Spiroh ran a 14.2x @100 (i think)

mods are: headers, intake and light weight wheels.

Best pull was 236hp & 200 ft lbs tq using the stock rims.

Too bad I'm out in San Diego...

Re: 1/4 Mile times and Dyno #'s

There will be quite a few of us down there this weekend on Sat. I might make it depending on my condition. Last time I was there, I ran a 14.2@100, but it was cold out.

Thats quick! What were your 60 ft times? I might run if my car is fixed on Saturday. Otherwise I will just watch. Did i meet you at the CL meet last fall at Uno, your car sounds familiar?

My car is a 5 speed with intake, y-pipe, and soon a UDP. I ran a 15.3@90 mph last summer at Rt.66 on a hot/humid day. I was pissed that my car ran that slow, so i had it dynoed at APG performance. Doing so i found out that my car's Variable Intake System (VIAS), isnt functioning properly internally.

Here a graph of my dyno:
http://community.webshots.com/photo/...32542789FSySDU
I made 171 hp, which is roughly 20 less hp than a STOCK 5 speed maxima and 30+ less than a Maxima with my mods puts down.
With the 30+ fhwp im missing, i should be running mid 14s, which should make for some interesting Acura/Maxima Runs. I just gotta get word from Nissan on how they are going to fix it.

Anyways, there should be a couple of other modded Maximas there including 2 highly boosted S/C ones that should be running high 12's

Why would they have 6speeds? Our car only came in a 5speed automatic up until like two weeks ago. And for stock times, see magazines - they seem to be right on with 14.9-15.1 results.

You said stock Russ. I invited any Chicago CL owner to come prove that they can run low 14s. Hopefully MAX7 and Nealoc187 will show also to prove that 4th gens can run the same times too. If my car was functioning right, I gaurantee that it would be a drivers race between my car and a i/h CL.

Seeing it on the internet is a big difference than seeing it in person. Not saying that 14s didnt happen, but hey if they are common then i should be seeing it at the track when i go.

One of my friends has a 99 5spd Maxima SE, with Greddy exhaust,
CAI, and y-pipe...I've raced him at least 5 times, kinda lost count,
beat him by about 1.5-2 car lenghs...
But any SC Maxima should take care of me without problems...

I will admit, the night I ran my max, there were 2 tl-s's there running 15s. I heard later that one did hit 14s, but not sure of the #.

CLS can hit 14's stock. I ran 14.6 with an intake. CAI does not add .4 seconds.

I dont doubt that. I bet ur car would run 14.8-14.9 without the CAI and 15s on a warmer day. CL-S times are pretty much equal to a stock 4th/5th gen 5 speed. Can we agree to that???
