'03 tails in...dash BRAKE LIGHT ON

Anyone else have the Brake Light , light come on , on the dash after switching their taillights???

All of the lights are working properly--It is just that the brake light comes on after I get into the car and tap the brake.

I have no idea why it is doing this, seeing as how all the lights are working....Anyone else? I will try and re-tighten all the connections at lunch....any other suggestions???????

Strange?? I just put mine in Wensday night, & mine were fine. You sure all the bulbs are in tight? Is the replament socket secure? Try pulling the battery for a few minutes. Maybe it will reset.

Try checking all your connections, there may be a loose wire.

happened to me. My solution - take each bulb out, one by one, and snap them back into the harness securely. After that my brake light warning went out.

I will try that next--along with checking the wiring harness by taking it out and checking it against the old bulb connection.

I had that happen to me when I installed my '03 lights. For me, the brake lights were burnt out. The brake indicator lights up to tell you that your brake lamps are not working properly.

FIXED

Ok- so when I put the tails in, it must of caused a little power surge to my break lights because I looked again and 1 of the 2 break lights, on both sides -actually burnt out...I replaced them and all was fine

Thanks Guys!

So do you think the switch to the 03's is worth it? I keep going back and forth myself.....

On my silver car they look great. Makes a huge difference in back end apperance. They were worth the $315 group buy price. I would not have gotten them paying the price from the dealer, or ACP.

In my opinion they are worth it! They make the car look so much better!!! Now, some of my friends think I am crazy. And they just dont get it but IMO I think you should go for it!

I had the same problem. One of the brake lights burnt out. I think the 03 tails are a MUST for all CL's. They are one of my favorite mods.
