03 Inserts
03 Inserts
I got them in and then i saw how much my black has faded over the years with the new inserts. Is there any trick to restoring the black in the lower grill of the bumper or is a repaint necessary?
if the black plastic down there is the same material as the black part of the grille, spray some WD40 on a rag and wipe it down. it should restore the faded parts for a while, otherwise i'd paint all the black parts body color like on the 03 bumpers. that's what i did after somebody bumped me

For head an taillights: I use a small microfiber applicator (blue at advance auto) and work the plasticx in. Then use a cotton cloth to remove/polish and a micro fiber towel as a final step.
On the black inserts I only use a small amount with a cotton towel. Usually the same one used to remove/polish the lights. Then I use the microfiber to wipe clean. I do this once every other week even thought its really not needed that often.
