03 Acura CLS v. 99 Acura CL ... both on juice, question...

I'm sure everyone has seen the video on underground racing.com does anyone know what other mods that 03 CLS has? Was it an auto or manual?

I think it was CL-S with some 75 shots!, I guess it was 6-speed.

Me too. My Z has a nice growl down low, but up high it just doesn't come close to the scream of VTEC with an intake

I have the best of both worlds I have the DEEP rumble of the exhaust down low to midrange and then the engine just screams like a beast up top.

yeah....that was myself vs fastvteccl....at that point, i had i/h/e/p/75shot...he was running a 100shot at that time....it was a good time....guess that shows highway pulls are all about power...just so you know i put down 290fwhp then and he was putting down 245fwhp....

I know............. I've taken it to the track once....i ran poor times but the conditions were less than optimal and i had shitty tires. We'll see in a couple of weeks. Lightweight rims/sticky tires and an intake. See what i can pull. If the track is grippy i can launch from 3-3.5k

mad props btw....impressive time!

hows the traction there??

milan sucks over here, they dont prep the track well and they never clean the first 20 feet if some dumb ass lights up his tires on purpus out of the burn out boc

do they spray vht after every run @ most tracks??

well sometimes it's good and other times it's bad. I can't fairly evaluate because the last 3x i've gone i had the worst track tires possible.....michilen pilot sport A/S :thumbsdn: Absolutely no grip whatsoever. That being said....on stock tires i ran a 14.6 in my automatic w/ an intake. Plently of other people have run good times as well so I"m hoping for the best with the new Yoko's.

Well for starters, i threw an over-rev code and a rich code, so they assumed it was from the nitrous...the rich code possibly cause it was running a bit rich and i didnt get the v-afc or a new fuel regulator, but the over-rev code im not so sure about...basically they said due to the "mods" (specifically the nitrous) if anything were to happen they wouldnt cover it under warranty...i figured this much, but thought since i was friends with some of the sales guys and techs they could overlook it...i never had anything happen with the nitrous on the car, but didnt wanna take the chance of something happening and them blaming it on the kit, so i took it off....no big deal, it was fun while i had it.....besides, it was only a matter of time before i got a racing ticket or something, so im better off for it....ive got a few other cars in mind right now, but need to scrape together some money before i can act on them ...i love my CL as a daily driver, but want a project car that i can afford to have break and still have something to get around in...

zootking: what were all the goodies you had on your nitrous kit? NX kit right? GenX2 upgrade? Remote opener? I'm still considering getting one later this fall so any pointers I'd appreciate.

it was a Zex dry kit 100 shot....nothing really special, just simple and to the point...no remote opener or purge kit (although it would've been nice)....

no issues what so ever, but i think w/out a new fuel regulator and v-afc our cars shouldnt do more than a 75 shot....i'll be honest with you and tell you just to do the 75 shot...i didnt really feel anything with the 55 shot...but do as you wish...mine air/fuel was perfect on the dyno with the 75shot, i think the 100 shot just through it off a little....also, when you do it, take it to the track and let me know the results b/c it seems the autos with this same shot trapped 3mph lower, but had a little better 60' times, so im really curious as to how much difference a better 60' takes away from our trap speeds....good luck

ok good stuff... I think I'll look for a zex kit now since they're much cheaper and much easier to install than a wet NX kit. I'll give you an update with the 60' once I get my new S03s on.
