Is a 02 Navi same as 05 Navi???

Does anyone know if a 05 TL Navi Unit (DVD, trunk unit) will for w/ a 02 Navi screen. I'm buying just a screen & the DVD unit seperate. So does anyone know if they'll work w/ eachother? Thanks.

Actually I'm think about it. I mean I found the screen on eBay for $150 & the DVD unit for $100, but it's from a 05 TL. So I just need to find a old DVD unit. Thanks for that link, I found it acouple days ago when I did my first search about this. Great DIY!!! What I'm wondering is if you can buy the wire harness you need from Acura. So you don't have to make your own. I don't mind spending the extra $$$ if it's going to save me A LOT of time. Again, thanks for that link.

The harness is part of the entire engine harness. You're gonna need to add pins to the existing connectors (there are several) and run wires from the navi connectors to the OEM wiring harness.

I hope you got the connectors (the plugs that go into the navi screen and DVD unit. If not, best of luck. Acura does not sell them.

Thanks, you've both helped answered my questions. I think I'm just going to get a double DIN Navi like the Avic-D1 or something. It will save me a big head ache. Besides I'd like to buy a 03 CL-S 6 Speed @ some point. So I'll just buy my next one w/ Navi built in. Again, you guys have been a great help thanks.
