so when i had my 01 s2000 my buddy never said a thing cuz he knew id smoke his ass but when i got my 01 cls he thinks his car is soo much faster... its soo irritating and i never even said a think to him before like rubbing it in that i had a faster car.. anyway he has a 04 g35 coupe automatic. and i have an 01 cls with automatic and a CAI and in like 3 days headers. if we raced who do you think would win? i honestly dont think his car feels really any faster than mine.

 

i got an 01 cls with intake and headers and my dad has the g35 coupe both auto....i drove em both and definetly think my car feels faster but from what people say the g35 will win...ive raced a couple of em with just my intake and they only beat me by a lil bit..maybe half a car...the headers made a huge difference though...honestly i think in the end at about 100 the g35 auto will be out on a cls auto

 

ok the thing is i raced one on the hwy and i punched it at 80 and he was in front of me and i started to catch up to him by like 105 then we both slowed down then i floored it when i was like 2 cars ahead of him and then he must have floored it cuz i floored it and we got up to like 110 and he was the same distance behind me all he time. but he was a pratty big guy and he had another big guy in the car

 

headers has shown to give anywhere form 20-30hp. with them i think u can take him. just make sure you out launch if form a stand still. but in the top end he may start to catch up.

 

cmon guys, who really cares. Lets not give our cars a bad name by driving around like asses trying to race everyone on the road.

i've raced a g35 auto with 20's. it was dead even until we let out at around 90. this was an on ramp onto i-10.

 

my friend has an 04 g35...i have raced him many times from a dig and a roll...he wins every time. and i have intake and header on a 01 CLS.

 

i dont think i could beat it if its stick but since its automatic i think i can

result: his front bumper would be at my back bumper...

 

fyi....100lbs is approx .1 sec on the quarter mile...you had a HUGE advantage

 

i have headers and intake and i raced one g35 coupe 2004. It was an automatic. and from0-120, i was ahead the whole time by about a car and a half. He and i was shocked. But don't doubt those cars, they are fast.
All in all, if two cars are close to each other within a second in the quarter mile, its the drivers race.
