So I was on my way home from work and ran a SRT stage 2 neon. The car sounded sick, but it was still a neon.. So we started from a roll I was at around 4800, pulled hard on him immediatly grabbing a car lenght then slowly crept through third. I thought those cars were faster.... My 01 type- s is stock, other than a open air box. First v-tech car I've owned, and I love it.

he must not have known how to drive well.. those are usually 250WHP for a base SRT4 (dodge lied about #'s)

Deff agree, i just got smoked by one tonight! From a dead stop neck and neck and after 80 it was game over for me. had mods not sure what tho, i run a 14.4 1/4 mile.

 

Yeah dude something was up my freind has one with a few MOpar upgrades and he chirps if he downshifts into 3rd at 70MPH trust me he should have smoked you. But hey you did beat him this time so thats what counts.

I thought for sure he was going to beat me also. I think I got a jump on him cause I was in 2nd at high rpms, and I"m not sure if he down shifted enough, that and boost lag. He was pretty young, good sport about it though. He thought I had an exhaust cause the inake was so loud...lol.

 

Man I wish I had a v-tecH car. I always thought my v-tec CL was good but I guess I don't know what i'm missing.

 

He should have beat you if his car was stock. He couldn't drive or didn't floor it. They run low 14's stock. Your car is a 14.7 at best stock. Good kill anyway! A kill is a kill!

 

i beat one bad cause i caught him with turbo lag but we race again and that bitch took off! good kill tho

Stage 2? As in Stage 2 turbo kit?

That would add another 50-60hp.
