01 CLS VS BMW Roadster

First of i have to say that i have been reading Supertroopers post for the last month or so as i have been waiting to purchase my 01 CLS.

Well I picked it up last Friday morning, Not 10 mins after leaving the lot i'm feeling like scarface on 495. I could not wait to see if all the vid clips and the post were true.

Well mid afternooon on the beltway turned to be a no go. No takers couple looks but no fun......

So back on the beltway about 11pm that night and it happens, BMW roadster shoots past me at maybe a buck or so, two guys just enjoying the nice summer night. Well as fate would have I end up about 3 cars back from the BMW about 15 mins later when we get next to each other i look over and think "lets see if the fourms are true" so we play cat and mouse till traffic opens up. When it went down we were both at 70 or so then it happened the bimmer just jumped a car ahead ( now keep it mind i had not taken the car past 75 at this point) so i just dig in to the gas and OMG i didnt expect it to feel like that! I was neck neck with him fast and well i looked down and was over the 100 mark and all said and done he didnt see anything but taillights.

So 1st kill and i really enjoy the car.

Thanks everyone for the post and good stories that helped me pass the time till i got my new baby.

I'm dying here... glad my street encounters inspired your CL-S purchase! I'm all vaklempt now. (tear)

Nice kill. There really is nothing better than taking out a German sports car. Well, maybe besides a domestic muscle car or something, but that's yet to happen with me. I remember the first time I opened it up on the highway and I was very happy with the accelleration. 0-60 not always good but from 70-100+ is pure sex. I'm sure you left those yuppies wondering what just left them looking at your tail lights. Enjoy, but as always, just pick your races and be careful.
