good races.. Both runs at 20mph roll
first run, almost 2car lengths..
second run, 1.5 car length..

CLS isn't bad from a roll =)
i'll race him once he gets the header too.. hopefully it'll be more even.

Looked like a good run. I noticed the WRX had the check engine light on. Did you get that after putting on the down-pipe and/or mid-pipe? If haven't done it already, don't forget to change the resister on the exhaust probe sensor going into the CAT. Looked cool, though!

This is my friend and I racing. He has an 03 6spd with CAI and headers. I basically had the Vishnu stage 1 in parts. I didn't have my car tuned yet, though. You have to watch out for that third gear in those CL's!! It's murder!

vishnu 1?... what did your friend's CL have?
i had an uppipe and the HKS turboback before but i kinda got rid of it bc i was going to trade in my car for an STi or evo but didnt work out w/ the payments... so i decided to go with a different route w/ my car for now.... lol.. if the 03CLS are that fast.. i'll race them from a stop? =) jkjk..
i'll race one in the future....

I think he has one of those factory freak cars. I have one of the slow ones. I've never thought my car was that fast for what it has done to it. When it was stock, I couldn't beat an IS300 that was stock. Of course, I've never raced from a dig, either. I don't want to launch my car because I know the one time I do, it will take out my tranny. I can't afford a repair like that. So, the only races I've done (2 or 3 of them), I did from a roll. At the time of that race, I didn't have my car tuned yet, so that was around 15-20 or so HP I didn't have. I think he still would of beaten me, though. I have a VF34 now, but it still isn't really that fast. Just not that impressed with the performance of WRX's. Still pretty funy to drive, though. It handles really well. I'll take on a CL on a road course!

no offense.. but i think u cant drive mang... my friend w/ a vf34 ran 12.8 consistantly at english town... most CLs cant pull those times w/o spraying nos....
what kind of tuning do you have?????!! do u have injectors, fuel pump... the works?

the course we went to were pretty secluded.. so it was a on the safe side.. but yea.. street racing is still very stupid.. i regret it everytime i do it... esp bc my 2002 wrx has over 80,000miles .. poor baby =(

Yah, I have STi injectors and a Walboro fuel pump. I have the stage 2 Vishnu tuning. I sort of would like to get the XEDE so I can change it myself, but I don't really have that much money right now (getting laid off at the end of the month). So, I'm not buying anything, just saving.
My total mods are:
Vishnu intercooler
Vishnu intercoller hoses
HKS Exhaust manifold
HKS Up-Pipe
Vishnu Down-Pipe (signature one)
HKS cat-back (I want to get the Vishnu cat-back..more of a stealth looking exhaust. Looks more stock)
and of course, I have the VF34, STi injectors, and the fuel pump.

I can drive ok. I'm no Mario Andretti, but I can get it done. I won't ever launch my car, so I don't know what it is totally capable of on the quarter (don't want to wreck my tranny). So, my car is technically only around a mid to high 13 second car. Ehhh, it's ok. Nothing to write home about. Handles pretty well, though. I have Cusco zero2 coil-overs on it. Those are pretty cool. This isn't the fastest car I've every had. At one time, I had a 68 Camaro RS that ran high 12's. That was a fun car!

god damn it i wish i still had my car, i'd definitely give you a run for your money. I dunno if its any meaning to you but i've beat both my friends wrx's both with intake. From a stop to 60 he killed me but after that i flew by him and from a roll they couldnt' keep up

a buddy of mine has a wrx and he is acting like it's all crazy fast...please, i have a clp and after aem intake...i pull on him in 3 rd. so stock wrx vs. stock type s...ya'll got it, hands down. good driver or not. sti, probably need headers to counter the turbo.

my car died of cancer...39k miles in 18 months and about 150+ runs at the track...not to mention all the street races and burnouts and etc i beat that car to the ground and now i have an f-150, a ducati and a project so it makes up for it
