01 CL-S wont start, have searched. Still stumped, PLEASE HELP!

So today on my lunch break I tried to start my car and no luck -

Symptoms - Car does not crank at all. It is very hot outside today (Tampa, FL) so its about 92*. All accessories come on with no sign of battery being dead. Green key light does not flash, CEL does not come on.

Possible causes -

Battery - Battery is good, less than 1 year of use. All accessories come on, lights do not dim.

Immobilizer unit not reading key - I know that this has been a problem for some people on here, although not too common. Im under the assumption that if its not reading the key the green key light will flash when I try to start it. It doesnt flash, just turns on when key is first inserted and turned, then turns off after 2-3 seconds. (correct me if im wrong)

Main fuel relay - Im not sure if this could be causing it, like i said, it doesnt crank at all. If it cranked and still wouldnt start then I would assume this would be the problem (plus its only a $40 part and easy to fix, so I was hoping this was it)

???? anything else Im missing????

This is the first sign of any problems like this. The electrical system has so far, worked perfectly (other than SRS unit)

Vehicle is 2001 CL-S, Auto, 154k miles.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

IIRC the immobilizer light on the dash is supposed to flash.

Right, it is supposed to flash if it thinks its the wrong key.

Thats one of the reasons why I'm stumped. I even went out when I got a break and tried to jump it just so I can rule a dead battery out. Same story, no cranking, no flashing green key light, no CEL... Basically NOTHING happens with the engine, but the rest of the car works normally.

I even called my local Acura in Clearwater and spoke to the guy who fixed my SRS problem. Went over the same checklist of what I could imagine being wrong with it, he stated he would have checked the same things and at this point I should take it in. Im really trying to avoid towing it there, was hoping I could fix it (i try and DIY everything i can)

Thanks for your response. Anybody else out there have an idea?

No, I meant I believe it is supposed to flash if it is the right key. Mine flashes everytime my key is in the vicinity of the dash (as it should). Do you have another key you can try?

No Cranking could be the Starter

Check Starter Relays/Fuses

Or just a bad starter

I had bad fuel relay issue but car cranked just wouldn't start. Also when you turned the key into ignition on II no humming noise was heard ( better heard if door is open). good luck. Lots of helpful people here. If not post it on justanswer.com

I have read somehwere (maybe here), that some hondas and acuras have starting problems when the car's starter solenoid gets very hot, like on a hot day like yours and won't crank. This problem is compounded by the fact that your starter is faulty, it's a hot day and that the radiator fans are blowing hot air on it as well. Some people replaced the starter and never had the problem again, while others invested in a starter heat shield and that solved the problem too. The heat shield would be the place to start and its pretty cheap at any autoparts store or on amazon. Did you experience this problem on cold days?

Try jumping S terminal on the starter see if it cranks. Keep the key on "on" position.

Oh yea the immobilizer doesn't have anything to do with the starter. It only cuts fuel pump so it should still crank.
