I have run with a stock wrx sti but not he Evo yet. I gave him hell from a rolling stop. I don't lose to often from a rolling stop. An Evo I have not come across yet.
Black 03 type-s, Comptech ice box (KN filter oil) Comptech Headers, Comptech pipes to catback.
No need for the mufflers stock good enuogh. Comptech sport springs and 19 - 8 axis seven mods
with custom painted centers to aruca black with polished lips 3.5 in the rear wrapped in Nitto NT555's 19/235/ZR. It will be at NOPI on Sept 19th in Atlanta Motorspeedway. I'm trying to get Comptech to sponsor the car. Maybe He lost because he was to busy looking at the car.

ahh i get it you live in magazine land.... yeah and i heard there was a freak 03' cobra stock that did 11.99.... i think the word stock gets thrown around too loosley, well here in the real world most evos even with a good driver are only capable of mid to high 13's low 14's . just this past sun night i was out at Gilman Springs (middle of nowhere) with about 30 other cars. a guy with an white 04' evo would not race my lightning. why is that? because even that evo owner knows that in the real world where people can't afford a clutch a week there is no way in hell he can beat a truck that does constistant high 13's at 104 mph in the 1/4. my truck isn't stock but he didn't know that..... my cl is not far behind my lightning in the 1/4 and i don't have forced induction on my cl. so i'm thinkin maybe you just don't understand what a modded cl can do. maybe you missed the video of the cls whoopin an sub sti in the 1/4. check it out..... the only way it's ridiculous is stock vs. stock.

still a Masshole
I agree for the most part. I've seen plenty of Evos run high-13s to very low-14s at the strip when I was running 14.8s (and I suck at the launching). Not saying that I would beat an evo but can see it being a fairer run from a roll. Then take into account that some CLS6 run low 14s modded (even a few autos - mrsteve, bulldog01, mattg not spraying, etc) and you have a decent race from a roll.
Stock though I would be hard-pressed to bet on any CLS over an Evo (dig or roll).

Evo's and STi's run, on average, low to mid 13's stock...and I mean stock. If you race them from a roll, then you can take about half to three quarters of a second off that quarter mile time. I think it is hard to compare the CL with an Evo or STi. From a dig (stock vs. stock), the Evo or STi will just kill a CL-S. You go on the freeway, I think the CL-S would win pretty easily. The Evo's and STi's don't have much top end. They aren't week, but just lose it once they get into the higher gears where the CL-S is awesome. When you get into the realm of the modifications, it depends on what you do. On an Evo, you can just do an ECU tuning or a piggy-back unit and get the car into the very high 12's. THe same pretty much goes for the STi as well. If you add some bolt on parts, then you can get them into the mid 12's. One thing to remember, the Evo and the STi depend on that 'launch' to get those low ET's. That is why you see these low ET's, but also low trap speeds. I'm in no way putting CL's down, in fact, I think they are amazingly fast for what they are. Just comparing two totally different cars.

This is Bubbles I can say for a fact from a roll a CLS is not going to lose depending on the driver. I ran if a (STOCK?) sti; and beat him. As long as my rpm's are up to about 6000 I'm golden. Listen If you don't think so. Come to the Comptech Booth at Nopi Nationals in Atlanta. I'II have some pics up soon.
R.I.P. My frat brother Jemari Atkinson died this weekend in an fatal wreck. He just got a 2002 white 325ci three weeks ago; he had a head on crash with the on coming driver. The on coming driver died at the seen;fellas I know were always talking about speed and racing, but please learn your vehicles after there modded. (Phi Nu Pi Jemari)

stock sti/stock evos run around low 13's all day.
if you dont believe me, go to Englishtown in september..
you'll see PLENTY of 11's/12's
and they can hit 12's w/ stock turbo.
yea sti's and evos can have amazing power gains for very low price.
my friend's sti ran 12.5 last week..
he has turboback, mbc, headers.
turboback - $600, mbc - $60, headers $300 (can u say..less than $1000?)
very easy install as well...
...of course.. evos are fast as well.. just wait for the EVO MR when it comes out this september. (stock 0-60 4.3, 1/4 12.9)
beast.
GOD DAMN.. i envy those gear ratios

no spray. 419whp @ 6 psi. he hasn't been to the track w/ the new turbo setup. he's expecting 480 whp @ 8psi.
his old set up w/ 350 whp netted a 12.9 @ 112

That event will have evo's in the 9's, 10's and low 11's. Some of those evo's are pushing 500+hp.
