The neck is fine. Thanks.

As far as posting, I took delivery on my Acura in 4/2000 I found acura-cl.com shortly after that. (I was part of the orginal honda-acura.net diaspora) I posted regularly for about 6 to 8 months. After that I would check in periodically and just lurk. I learned alot about my car from you guys! Thanks.

Anyway, Happy Driving!
I'll see you in my rear-view mirror

23k is a fawking GIFT and a half. Wow, you made out like a champ. Go buy another one if you so choose since you can probably find even an 03 for the 23K you got.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Looks like you got a very good settlement from the insurance co. I think my CLS 6spd is probably only worth $23K (maybe a little more) with 14000 miles on it.

3 1/2 YEARS worth of active lurking without a single post.

Come on Shawn! You don't remember me?
(I remember your red '01 CLS, which you traded you a blue 6spd RACRX, right?)

What are you driving these days?

I was one of the originals. My post count must have been reset during my haitus. But I was here from the beginning and I was moderately active.

Shout out to soopa, kensteele, and NickL (if those guys are still around)

I know. Pretty amazing! When the guy I was dealing with at the auto body shop said he had no choice but to recommend to my insurance adjuster the car a total loss. I immediately started to worry about negative equity.

Luckily, I pampered my "girl" and her paint job spoke for itself. I faxed my Maintenance log to the adjuster and after that he didn't have much to say about the mileage.

She got "Well Maintained"(one step below "New") across the board.

The irony is, Trade-in value would have < $11K.

That definitely does not look like a wreck to me. And I'm really skeptical about insurance giving you $23,000 for an '01 with 113,000 miles. I'm with jts1207 on this one.

Who is your insurance carrier? Also the insurance sometimes wil cover at ACV , which actual cash value of the car. Is not a trade in value. Normally, it is the price that it would cost to purchase that same model again from a dealer.
