I need some help guys, i bought a 01 acura cl type s, and the sound system is not working?? The radio and nav unit work perfectly, and all the front bose speakers are there, but the back are missing, there are 2 aftermarket speakers in there place?? There are also a bunch of cut wires in the trunk, aso i think the previous owner had a system and removed it before selling.

Is there some kind of a brain or amplifier unit to power the bose system, and would it be located in the trunk??

Would i be able to hook up all the speakers to a aftermarket ampifier to get everything to work properly, or could i throw a sub and amp in the trunk?? But how would i get the fronts to work?? the more help the better, i do not know much about car audio, i just really want my speakers to power on and work??

yes the amp is in the trunk. you need to take off the back seat to get to it. the wires were prob. cut from there. just re connect them or if you want to and an after market amp, all wires that you need are there. good luck. hope you get it to work soon.

you don't need to remove the back seat to get to the amp. the amp is located behind the trunk liner on the passenger side.
