I used to cut the stuff when I was in the picture framing business. Get a plexi knife. You score the cut several times and then snap it. Don't peel the mask until after you make the cut.
ok thanks this special knife is it easy to use or will i be needing some new stitches

i make license plate covers out of 1/4 all the time, cut it with whatever you want, sand edges, - then buff out on a benchgrinder with buffing wheel and plastic compound, edges come out crystal clear

I was also in the picture framing business. Just buy the cutting device at home depot and score it about 4 times applying a fair amount of pressure. Then, with the cut up, bend the plexi in half and it ought to break on the line you cut. You can also cut it with a really fine toothed jigsaw. Make sure it's secure, if it startes shaking all over the place you may crack it. Good luck

I use a roto-zip tool mounted in a portable b&d vise table. I move the plexi over the cutting bit. Very fast, easy to control, does all kinds of shapes easily.
Hey i tried the jig saw deal once it cut it right but it was getting so hott the plex was melting back together after i cut it
i havent got this special blade yet but the rotozip deal looks sweet i may try that for real
