*pics* Cleared my headlights all by my lonesome!

Finally got some pics up of my cleared headlights. It took me a while to get it done but it is well worth it. It's been done for about a month now, and no fogging, so I think I'm good to go. Recently switched all the bulbs too! Looks fantastic with the satin silver.

Here are the pics: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/629032/2

Let me know what you think

Good work. Why do the tops look black, are these 03 lights or did you paint out the silver trim? Maybe it's just the picture.
I took a lazy way out today and tinted over the amber reflectors. Looks good with my anthracite color. Congrats.

Hot.

Did you use the oven method?

The no diffuser look is the way to go.

I think I saw your pics, the tinted wedge looks hot with the anthracite IMO.

As for mine, the tops just look that way because of the way the picture is. They are the stock 01 lights, only thing I chaged was the reflector and the bulbs.

My oven is pretty crappy, takes a while to heat things up, so I put them in the oven to get them started. Then once I broke the seal, I used a hair dryer to get them opened the rest of the way.

Things got messy, but everthing turned out alright.

looks great man! good work btw, what bulbs did you go with in the reflector spot, and where did you get them? I tried looking for 168's at my local AutoZone's and PepBoys that are clear when unlit, but amber when lit and I can't find em

In the reflector spot, I just went with the PIAA 19172's. They are not in yet in these pics.

The blinker bulb that is basically silver when off, but amber when lit I got from Pepboys.com. I couldn't find them at the store either. Just go there and do a search for 'apc 1157'.

Are the APCs bright? The guy at Pepboys talked me out of em cause he's seen a lot of peeling on them. I got the (more expensive) silverstar bulbs, they give off a blue and amber cast when off. I like the look of the silver APC bulbs too tho.
Are our rear turns the same bulb, I have an 03 with amber rear turn bulbs.

The apc's are bright enough for turn signals, and for me. I love them! Hadn't heard about the peeling though.

I don't know about the rear turns, I have the 01 tail lights still. But I would assume they are the same, will be getting them if I ever get a good deal on some 03 taillights.
