One last thing, I have eibach sways and when they go to install the headers is that going to have any effect, the install shop is top notch but they say if they run into fitment problems or other problems that should not occur then they will have to charge me for more time and they run at $75 an hour. I want to make sure they dont have to mess with the sway bars as if they do installation may cost a whole lot of money!

i got in at $285 close to the intro price, they are getting installed tomorrow, I hope everything turns out well. In the beginning of the post it talks about how the guy had to port it and stuff to make the gasket size match and whatever, did anyone else with AW headers experience this, or did it fit on with stock gaskets perfectly, with no modifications at all?

Think you guys will be happy as hell with the A/W header for under $300. 1st thing I noticed was that it pulled redline real quick. When you take off the stock Header look at the connector pipe downstream. There is a wall that is restrictive in there.
Did anyone do a before or after dyno on them yet ?

hrmm.... I'm still scared.... I think i'll get my rotors first than while i'm saving the money for my headers I'll feel more comfortable buying the Alpha Werks if there arent any issues over time....Cause its too soon for me....money is very insufficient especially since I just ordered my Avic-N1....$1500

Anyone feel to comment on reseting the ecu by disconnecting the battery after the header install? is it necessary, and if I dont how long will it be until the ecu readjusts and I feel the power.

You don't have to reset it but it's probly better to. It doesn't take the car as long to adjust to the increased airflow.
Just disconnect the negative terminal for about 15 min. That should reset everything.

I say, don't worry about it. You don't need to reset the ECU, as the ECU will learn on its on. When I had allmotor install the headers for me, I asked him the same question, and sure enough, he said not to. After the install was finished, I noticed the car was quicker, but not as much as expected, you know? Anyways, as about 2 days go by, I noticed a significant difference, as the ECU learned on it's on, and my neck thanks me for it every day!

Alpha Werks Headers Installed!!!
Well I got the alpha werks headers for the CL installed today at japtrix in lake worth, florida, they do good work. It took them 4 hours, and no check engine or any problems like that after the install. They said the headers fit perfect just like comptech with no modifications needed. I hear a slight difference in tone, but at high rpms my cai takes over so I dont notice a tone change. I didnt reset the ecu and as soon as I got on the highway and hit it, it was crazy fast pulling in vtec range! Amazing!!!!!! $465 installed was a great price to pay! Lets see if the welds and all last. But for now I am happy, feels fast! I do hear some hissing and clicking, but I think the hissing is more from the cai and the clicking is the normal sound from right in front of the driver in the engine bay, so all is good. and many report that you dont feel it till 5-6 days, so it can only get better.

Renegade there's too many Alphawerk threads going on lately, sorry I had to merge your thread with this one. It's a waste to have all these alphawerk threads all over the first page..

No prob, i was going to put it in here, but thought that the install fitting was important and maybe deserved its own thread for potential buyers, no problem at all though.

Now that ive driven a little more, if you give it throttle at low speeds to about 3500-4000 rpm you can definitely hear a distinct deep sound that was never there before. Sounds Great.

Alpha Werks Header, Where to buy ?
Hey guys,
I need to know a good reputable place to buy these "Alpha Werks" headers for an 02' CL-S Auto.
I spoke with NexusIndustry (Carlos) yesterday and he mentioned that I need to buy them through a distributor and that they do not sell direct. So I asked if he could find a "distributor" that has them in stock. He called me the next day "today" and said yes, I found them. I asked where and he said that he didnt know, but sent me an email back saying that I needed to give him my credit card # and he would order them. Needless to say I didnt get a very warm-fuzzy feeling from this and I am looking for someone who has these "IN STOCK" that I can purchase them from. Not bashing anyone at all, just doesnt feel right to me.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They're not carb legal.
