I can see that the muffler and tip are polished, but is the exhaust tubing polished as well? Also, I was looking at your pics...is that rust or just a discoloration due to heat? Thanks

The muffler and tip is polished stainless steel. The piping is not. That isn't rust it is just heat discoloration which can be polished out.

Okay guys, it looks like we are halfway there. We have about five people that are interested in the groupbuy. If there are any other people interested please post in this thread. The sooner we have all 10 people, the sooner I can place the order. Here is a tentative list of all the interested buyers.
*JRock
*city001
*pastrami
*blown331 (possibly)
*IzarTypeS
If I left anyone else off please let me know.

Thanks,
Arnold

I think AegeanCLS said he might be interested also, but he hasn't posted here yet. Mark, what's the word, over?

Hey, how much is shipping? I live in Maryland.

Shipping should be under $20 bucks to anywhere in the continental U.S.

i would like to see them too...how about picking a time on the weekend so anyone in socal that is interested can come see it at the same time? we can listen to it firsthand too!

i think this is the most efficient way.

btw, i hang out at honda boards too so i'll post a link to this thread to spread the word!

That sounds good, I think I'm meeting up with blown331 on sunday afternoon. So maybe that'll be a good day.

BTW, thanks for spreading the word, we are almost there. I think we have about 7 people now.

Tommy, let me know which hks exhaust you want (application) I could get one for you on this group buy. Your's would definitely be cheaper though, since you don't have duals.

We can meet up sunday evening say 5pm at the krispy kreme in the city of industry. It is located at the puente hills mall. Just take the 60 frwy and exit on Azusa ave. it is south of the freeway. Please post on this thread if you will be going so I know for sure.

Thanks guys

Yep it's still available. We need to get a minimum of 10 exhausts to get that price. Right now we are at around 6 confirmed orders. If you'd like to get in on it let me know so we can add you to the list.

Thanks

I'm not sure what the tip size is on the comptech's. As far as differences go, HKS is a major tuning company from the japan, they make very high quality products. I personally feel that their exhaust products are of a higher quality than comptech. Comptech doesn't even make their own exhausts. Their exhaust systems are made by thermal research and then comptech puts their name on it.

Yes it should fit. I have a friend with an accord v6 and he has the bodykit with this exact exhaust and he has no clearance problems whatsoever. If you need the exhaust to sit lower all you need to do is get the hangars bent. My buddy didn't need to do that on his car. On my car when they test fitted my aftermarket rear underbody lip there were no clearance issues whatsoever.

The exhaust is very quiet. You can definitely notice a different from stock. The sound is a tad louder and deeper. If you come to krispy kreme in city of industry today at 5pm you can hear it for yourself. I think you'll like it.

Come on, if you want a quiet exhaust, leave it stock or blow $600 on comptech's exhaust.

I would hope the HKS is not considered "very quiet".
I might not want it anymore if it's "very quiet".

I was able to get us a little bit of a deeper break on the exhausts. It'll be $485.00 plus shipping. No tax. All those interested pleas email me.

I met up with blown331 today so he could see the exhaust. He likes them a lot.

blxmjx - you know I'm seriously interested, but I need to hear how much money I can get for some old trains I'm trying to sell. If the guy will give me enough money, I'm in for sure. He was supposed to get back to me this week. At the latest, next week.

would they be shipped to each of us directly from HKS or would you get all 10, then ship them urself to us. also, is there ANY HP increase even 2-3 like the Comptech's ? Also, is the muffler attached to the hangar in any way or does it just sit on it?

Thanks a lot G, Your car is tight too, and will be even tighter with the things that you have planned.

To answer your question, the entire muffler and tip are stainless steel, the pipe is not.
