$7 for an oil filter

Can anyone recommend a site that sells genuine Honda oil filters? My local dealer wants $7 for an oil filter. Someone out there has to be able to beat that even with shipping factored in.

I don't know that's why I'm asking. Isn't the Honda motor a 3.0 litre?

Not really sure but I took mine to a quicklube place for an oil change and they had no trouble identifying the filter. It was included in the $24.95 charge.

I use Purolater (sp?) and change my own oil. I get it at the Auto parts store for about $3-$4 or so.....

Honda Accord V6's are the same. I use the Mobil 1, which are the best and expensive....

Check out the Purolator PureOne PL14459 oil filter. It's very well made and sells for $ 5.95 at PepBoys.

go to www.ahmotors.com .Filters are $4.80 or $46 a case.Don't forget the oil drain plug washers. You might also try your local Acura parts dept. I told them the price I could get them for at AHmotors, and they matched the price(no shipping charges either!!).I also had success in doing that with other things (rear spoiler,Comptech springs).

what about those Fram oil filters? The guy at autozone and Advance auto parts said they are pretty good filters. but i read some posts on internet messagesboard that say Fram filters are known for busting at the seal? anyone heard about fram filters?

i'm going to be doing oil changes either at my honda dealer or Valvoline oil change. no way i'm going to drive 100 miles to the nearest Acura just for an oil change.
