$--?--navi conversion

How much did you pay for all of the parts needed to convert your cl-s with navi to play dvds and what were the actual parts?
Ron from streeteffectz quoted me at $575 for the unit that will act as the avc-rgb1 (a new unit that replaces the discontinued avc-rgb1), blitz adaptor, and all the wearing. Dose that sound reasonable comparing to what you paid?

I paid $120 for the AVC-RGB1 and $100 for the originator to do my conversion.

This was in the summer of '01 when the unit had not been discontinued and was easily found. You can't find them or their replacements for cheap anymore, unfortunately.

Streeteffectz is actually offering a decent price for everything that he is including. The conversion box that he has does include some extra controls for something or another that the AVC-RGB1 did not include. The blitz-type adapter is the best way to get audio.

yeah, Ron's has contrast/brightness controls.

i too paid a small amount ($115) for my RGB1 when it was out, but now it's a supply and demand issue and people are charging WAY more than it's intended price. BUT, they are selling them for good money and people are still wanting it

Still way cheaper than ripping out your entire Bose System to install a lcd deck and then all the associated amps and speakers required as well. Everything remains factory. But if you plan on going car show or all out sound...spend the money on a new system.
