tv tuner ... help

I was wondering, how to I tap into the car am/fm antenna? Can I connect the stock antenna to the mobile tv tuner that I just purchased or do I have to use an addition antenna.

Thanks in advance, Jeff

Jeff you are going to have to run another ant. for tv. Some tv ant. will receive fm broadcasts so shop around. Check your tuner to see how it is set up for ant. inputs. Usually they have 2 small ant. plugs for each ant and you run two of them. Hope this helps.

Hey thanks for the help. I have one of those antennas but I just wanted to see if I coud tap into the car antenna because I didn't want to have that ugly looking antenna somewhere inside the car. Looking for ideas on how to mount it so that it is out of sight and will still get good reception. Thanks again.

does your tv tuner use a coax antenna? if so, you can buy the sony windshield stick-on antenna (vca13 i think). there are two types of antennas in the kit...the front piece is composed of 3 long think strips of metal film, and the rear piece is also 3 pieces but is made of clear thick rubber. i used the front antenna and it's really not noticeable at all. it's about $100 so it's not cheap. anyways, look into that.

it's not at all like those diversity antennas which are conspicuous and cumbersone to hide. however, i think the sony kit also comes with tip convert or for miniplug tuners that use diversity antennas.
