I have an appointment next Saturday to get my Dunlop Winter Sport M3s on. This'll be my 2nd season with them.

Did you like these? I've got a brand new set on some RSX wheels waiting to be installed as soon as we get some snow.

Yeah, I do like them. They aren't terribly loud, are decent on pavement without snow, and worked well for me with the snow we did get last year (which wasn't much, maybe this year we'll get more).

i like my M3s too. i am actually looking forward to putting them on as they are quieter than the tires on my 18inch wheels.

Good winter tire but I'm really disappointed in the mileage. Probably have maybe 20K to 25K tops highway miles on a set (215/55x16) that are noticeably worn and will either throw them on to squeeze another 2K or 3K miles out of them or not bother and just replace now. Oh, and I won't buy them again.

I am getting ready to pull the trigger and get a new set of 4 tires. I am still on my stock tires since I bought the car in late April 2003. I have close to 55K miles on them and with winter here in Ohio coming soon I definitely need new ones.

Since I had so much luck with the Michelin HX MXM4's I was wondering if I should get another set of those?

That's a bummer. With the amount I drive, I might not even get 2 seasons out of them according to your experience. I got 205/60-16 though, since it's a closer match to the factory diameter of the tire--maybe you actually got a few more miles on them than your odometer says!

True, but the difference is quite small. I bought this set used (barely) and will replace with 205/60x16's. I know that winter tires generally wear faster due to their softer rubber compound, and have used a number of different winter tires. I agree that this a very good performer in ride, dry and wet handling, and I found them to be relatively quiet. Snow/ice traction was acceptable, although I'll be the first to confess that, for the most part, the roads here (Mass.) are kept pretty clean (and done promptly after a snowfall). And if I found a deal on another set, I'd would buy again. My only gripe is, that I think they should be lasting longer. Due to the fact that they're relatively expensive, I'll replace them with something cheaper (of which there are plenty). I've owned allot of different tires over the years; certainly enough to realize that, in my opinion, price is not necessarily the best tool to use when picking a tire.

I just bought a set of 4 Michelin Primacy MXV4's. Apparently they just came out not too long ago according to the guy at NTB (they didn't have the Pilot MXM4's that the TSX came with). They were $179 each.

http://www.michelinman.com/tires/lux.../primacy-mxv4/

The Michelin Primacy MXV4 tires carry an additional 60,000 mile limited warranty for treadwear or mileage that the Pilot's didn't apparently.

For all of you Canucks, I just bought a set of Goodyear Nordic winter tires from Canadian Tire for $113.49 ea. and a set of black steelies for $49.99 ea. The "nordic" is specially made by Goodyear for Canadian Tire. I'm from Toronto and we just had our first snow storm of the year and these tires work great!

Size of Tires: 205/60R16
Size of Steelies: 16x6.5,5-4.5

EXRock: How did you get $50 for steelies? Every CT I went to wanted $75 and didn't even have them in stock. :S Now I have a set of Revo1's sitting in the garage ($79/ea at Tirerack) and no wheels to mount them on.

I'm working on a set of wheels off an MX5 from some guy on Craigslist...hopefully I get those...guy is looking for $350 for the set so it's not that much more than a set of steelies and has a close to OEM fit.

There may be a price difference between Vancouver and Toronto. But the $50 steelies I got were catagorized as "multi-fit". CT also has steelies for "OEM" fit for about $70 ea. But these "multi-fits" I got fit perfectly like OJ's glove.

Good luck finding those winters!

I have never found such a good deal from CT on steelies, last year I got mine winter set from Tires23. $60 on EACH steelies; $105 on EACH Viking Snowtech.

Sold my steelies this year, and bought a set of Honda Accord 16" Alloy for $80 EACH, looks great too ~!!!

My winter tires are 32 PSI front and 30 PSI rear. I heard it's best to inflate according to the label when you open the driver door. Though if you want "better" economy, you can inflate the tires 35PSI all around.
