will it rub?????

Hi everyone! Noob...don't know if I'm doing this right, but here goes nothing...
Will 18x8.5, +48, with a 235/40/18 tire fit without rubbing on a conservative drop of 1.1 front & 0.7 rear on Tein H-techs??
I'm trying to avoid rolling my fenders & tucking my liners. I've searched the forums & have seen various set-ups which would seem to indicate that this is possible. However, I haven't seen anyone run this exact same set-up (I'm probably wrong) so any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
Thx!

That's rather conservative. I imagine it should work with pretty much no rubbing or anything on your drop. Worst case you would need a little negative camber but you should be fine with the natural camber from the drop.

I was dropped to no finger gap with 18x7.5 +42 on 235/40 and barely rubbed with some negative camber.

Were u flush with that offset? Or did ur wheels stick out some? What about a 48 offset, will that sit just inside the fender or will it stick out some cuz of the 8.5 wide wheel that I'm considering?

The rim you're considering is 1 inch wider than my Works. I wasn't really flush, sat inside the wheel well a bit. With rims you'd have to add approx 1/2 inch out to my rims then subtract the difference with the offset. The 1 inch wider goes 1/2 inch on the outside of the rim and 1/2 inch inside. The main thing is your car is not slammed and the tires are the same size so you should be fine.

Doubt you will have any issues rubbing though tbh. Only reason I rubbed was if I hit bumps a bit faster than usual. Regular driving and even with my gf in the car I didn't rub. Max I did was my whole family (4 adults) in the car and I only rubbed taking speed bumps.

Yea 5 or 10mm spacers will be fine. It's really up to choice of what it would look like and if you would like it. Anything over a 5mm spacer is highly suggested/required to get extended studs for your car so your rims can sit on there safely.

Thanks guys...I'm gonna add the wheels soon & then I'll check to see how it sits before I decide to add spacers.
