will +45 offset rims be ok for my 06 TSX??

Hey folks....

i just picked up a used 2006 stock TSX over the summer
I've determined the wheel specs are:

215 50 R17

Bolt pattern 5x114.3
Centre bore 64.1
Hardware 12x1.50 LUG
Offset 55

I was looking on tire rack and saw Zinik Z30 rims that Tirerack says will fit.
The rim specs are:

Offset: +45mm Backspacing: 6.06" Bolt Pattern: 5-114
Rec. Tire Size:
215/50-17
Weight: 23.6lbs.

I'm concerned about the offset. Can anyone provide advice/experience? Will the difference in offset matter?

Once this winter is over, I plan to put my winter tires on the stock rims, and put my stock tires on the Zinik rims.

Has anyone had any good/bad experience with Zinik rims?

thanks all,

you won't have an issues with +45 offset (running that currently on my TSX).

Stock offset is +55, there are people running +40 even +35. If anything you can just get a narrower tire.

+45 is nothing. im gonna be running +20 18x8.75 xxr 527 but then again it all depends if your going for a stance/fitment look.

Yup. Four of us just returned from a ski trip to Montreal, and all our stuff. I've been using a 16 x 7 with +42 offset for my 205/60-16 snow tires, for several years, without problem.

Thoughts/questions about 45 offset

I am also planning on going from stock 55 offset to Acura accessory rims with a 45 offset. Will this yield any noticeable improvement in handling if I keep the same size tires (def wouldn't want to go narrower)? Might be a stupid question but I'm thinking the slightly wider stance might help a bit. Also, should I be concerned about more mud, road grime hitting the side of car? TIA!

TireRack is generally spot on with their "will fit" statements, they obviously don't elaborate on 18x9.5's at +15 fitting, but a good baseline lol.

Yes they'll fit but damn those wheels are hideous. Wheels like that only belong on Buick's and Lincoln town cars lol. Enjoy them. Some wheels just don't belong on Japanese/European branded cars. But just my .02...
