TPMS and New Wheels 07 TSX
Hey guys
Im planning on getting some new wheels soon.
The thing is that i have an 07 so yes there is that TPMS
How could I replace my wheels with new ones w/o the alert going off.
I do not want to have these replaced into the new wheels. I read somewhere that you can put them in a wheel barrel or something and put that in your trunk?
I have no idea what that means can someone elaborate thanks

trunk?
what?
no.
ah...
no.
go to ebay and type in - TSX TPMS.
buy what you see.
4 TPMS sensors, shipped to you, $99.
OR
take your tires off of your stock rims, remove the stock TPMS sensors.
IMO, buy the ones off of ebaY.
when the new rims come in, bring the TPMS sensors and the rims to the tire
place and have them install the sensors when they put the tires on.
should be no additional charge, takes a whole one minute to do.
so seeing how you don't want to take the ones out of your stock, go with my
advice. works perfect. promise.

haha forgot one key word. the "other" forum someone said his friend put all 4 TPMS into a small wheel barrel wheel or the spare tire and left it in the trunk since it keeps it at a constant pressure.
i might just buy the 4 tpms off ebay and have that installed in the new wheels instead.
if so will these work with any wheel or tires???

are u planning on keeping ur current wheels which is why you want to buy new sensors? if not, swapping the ones u already have is the cheaper solution.
this is also something a shop would have to do. they have to dismount the wheel and take out the sensor.

yes you can put the TPMS sensors in a wheel barrow wheel/tire and put it in your trunk. As long as the wheel barrow wheel/tire is inflated to correct pressure, you will not get a error. I've heard and seen a few 07 TSX's that have gone this route with aftermarket wheel/tire combo with no problems. Or you can get the sensors from TireRack, but be aware since not all wheels are compatible with TPMS sensors
