First, you have to decide what class you're gonna run in. From your list of mods, your car will fall into STS. In that case, I would run 225/45/17. This is a very common tire size and is available in pretty much all of the popular auto-x street tires such as Falken Azenis ST-615 (the new one), Kumho MX, Hankook R-S2 Z212, BFG g-Force KD, and Yoko Advan Neova AD07 (new tire).

If they throws some of those on his stock rims they're going to die from daily commuting. I picked up a set of Hankook RS2 Z212's (friggan cheap!) for a set of 16" rims I'm going to try out for autoxing 225/45/16

The 200 treadwear on some of those tires will wear away fast on the streets, when they're better kept for the autox course. Personally I'd rather keep $150 Azenis RT615 for the autox course (and all the loud road noise, etc., 10k miles) and have something more mild for the street that'll get you 20-25k miles.

but hows the tramline with the 225 17" tire. I would like to get the wider tire but i dont want to have a bad tramline. I love the feel of my car how it handles now, im just not sure of how it will feel if i end up going with the 225.

btw, have you autox'd before? maybe you should go w/ normal summer tires and try it out b4 u go full fledged for autox tires. IMO 225 wont make it tramline, but the brand and tread pattern may
