From these to these!! Jenny Craig for the car

Stock 17" rims weigh about 21lbs. My 18's weigh about 23lbs. Looked good but an 8lb total weight gain. Not much, but when I swapped them out from winter to summer, I really did notice a difference. The handling improved, but acceleration and breaking suffered.

Here are my old heavy 18's, these are for sale if my dad does not want them. I checked and they will fit on his 2009 Acura RDX. (according to Discount Tire)

And now for the NEW 18" Kosei K1 TS Racing Wheel.....16lbs each!! A total drop of 20lbs over stock 17"s and a whopping 28lbs over my old 18's!!! And OHHHHH BABY, can I tell!! Faster off the line , and much shorter stopping. Nothing but my butt to measure by but trust me, lighter is most definitely better!!!

Old, and yes I MISS THE LIP.....

New, and I LOVE the dual racing valve stems...did I mention I miss the lip?

Rear camber shot...Tein Basics.....

Front shot...

One shot of my sons 2003 Ford Focus, notice how he beat the old man to the tint?...Soon son, I'll get it done soon. He even did the headlights himself, AND converted them to H.I.D's I have created a Mod Monster and am very proud of it!! But now that he is out of school, I'm going to charge him rent so he can't out mod ME. Just kidding.

Last one of father and son together...kindda gives you a warm fuzzy down deep, huh?

Well, that's it for now. Next mod is to paint the roof black, price....FREE!!! God it's good to have friends. I hope to get THAT done soon, and I'll post up then. Anyway, let me know what you think about the rims. And yes, I know I have to re-paint the calipers, haha beat someone to it, lol.

As soon as he can, my nephew is going to do a shoot with his D-SLR, for now, sorry abot the crappy pics.

Thanks, but thats 16lbs each . The 17" Kosei weigh only 15.5lbs, but I didn't want to buy new tires also. The 18's still had plenty of wear left on them.

I am in your current situation right now, I have relatively heavy wheels on my TSX currently and I absolutely hate them! This being my first car ever owned, I didn’t imagine a few extra lbs would make such a monumental difference. I am acutely looking forward to winter so I can get these wheels off my car and put them up for sale. I am going to definitely be taking a deeper look into the ‘Kosei K1 TS’, IMO screw the lip your new wheels look that much better!

I had these Kosei wheels on my old Civic (15", was around 12 lbs IIRC). They're nice wheels - enjoyed them a lot. They look great on your car - nice choice!

Um, thanks bob83b. These go great ..... with feet.I can see how this goes with automotive stuff. Most people DO wear shoes when they drive. How do these handle? Are they quiet at highway speeds? How is the steering response? Jeez, maybe we can get a group buy going. I'll bet...Marcus at HEEL TOE would help out, lol.

Got the red lugs. I'll get better pics soon. Please excuse the dirty car.
Also, painted the "TSX" black. May or may not keep it on there.

My tires are 225/40R18. I dont think a 17" tire will fit these, but I THINK thay make this in a 17" wheel. Even lighter!!

Nope, no rub. I'm down about 1.5 all the way around I think. I've been dropped so long I can't remember, lol I had it about 1/4" lower than this at first, and still no tire rub. I had to take it up because I would hit going into and out of my grandparents driveway. NO WAY was I going to have my 86 year old grandfather walk up that, even though he said it looked "nifty" being that low, lol.
