tein s techs

I have a set of used tein S Techs and was wondering how long would it last on stock struts?

I drive pretty rough and speed a lot + 18x8.5 rims, but once dropped i bet that won't be happening anymore. I might as well use them because I can't find a buyer for my konis and teins. I don't like how the konis are made to mount.

I'm just scared what actually happens when the struts go out? Is there excessive sagging, bouncing?

I have an '06 TSX MT

You will trash your shocks. Even the Tein H-Tech's ate up my stock shocks with the quicknes...

I think you should talk to "mike the texan" - I think he has some tokico hp's blues he wouldn't mind selling that are nearly new.

Seems that the consensus is they work well with lowering springs, especially these particular ones...

yes, i know i will... I just wonder how long would it last. I've seen one person said a couple of months. I do have koni shocks, but i don't choose to use them because of how theyre made.

What is wrong with how they are made? I'm thinking of finally lowering my car also.

the cl-s being my second car, i made sure i started out with tein coilovers and they have lasted me for a few years. but when i had my eclipse, i only went with megan springs on stock struts and it didnt last 2 weeks b4 i was bouncing all over the road and it felt very unsafe. definitely upgrade your struts at the same time.

I don't like how the konis are shaped at the bottom, it's not like the stock struts where it can sit on the bottom mount (ear). I shouldve saved up for tein basics.

as mentioned above, your stock struts will not last. you will eventually have to replace them, so if you're thinking of being price-friendly pick up some tokico blues, otherwise konis have generally been well-reviewed.

but yeah, coilovers ftw. i love my tein ss!

I'm in Tein H-tech on stock Struts and I love the ride and I've had them on for 2 years.

As for Tokicos I've always had bad experience with them they suck stick with KYB. I bought a set of Tokicos and they went out quick. So I bought them again thinking I had a bad set and nope a waste of money.
