Tanabe SOC Type-II Coilovers or GC's and Koni Yellows?

I've been lurking the site and reading up on some of the TSX owner suspension setups and I see 2 owners are satisfied with their Tanabe SOC type II setup but it doesn't give me enough persuasion to buy them just yet lol. Basically I'm looking for a nice drop just for daily driving. I'm also leaning towards Koni yellows and Ground controls coilovers that seem to work well in civics and tegs. Any input is appreciated.

I was in the same debate as you but eneded up going with the Tanabe Sustec Pro S-OC TypeII's and couldnt be happier. Both setups are great quality, but I like the idea of having a one piece design rather than a seperate shock and slip on coilover. The ride is extremely smooth and does not make the clanking noise that the slip ons do. Ive also taken the car to our local SCCA events and the instructor driving the car commented on how well the car handeled. Im happy with the Sustecs, but its really up to you.

Never go with Koni Yellow if you want to go with just look. I'm from Koni setup to Tanabe and the difference is huge.

The only problem with Tein SS and basic is that the springs are made in China, Tanabe are strictly made in Japan .

Tanabe rules all other setups for those wanting an adjustable drop and an "AS CLOSE AS HUMANELY POSSIBLE TO STOCK RIDE".

Actually, the Tein CS setup is even better but more expensive. The Tanabe will suit you just fine.

Oh and it definitely DOES offer an improvement on stock handling. Might not be as large as the Tein SS improvement but it is all give and take when it comes to these things.

It runs 100% silent also. This is very important to me.

All I can say from my experience with stock and the Tein SS is with the Tein's, it is setup how it shoud've been from the factory.

I was horrified when I learned that Tein outsourced their springs to china . One of the biggest reasons that I chose Tanabe .
