This is one of the reasons why I definitely can't get them. I would need them in like 1-2 weeks. When I called some places to find out, they were telling me it would be pretty much impossible to get them that soon.

I'm looking at a few different Enkeis. I just found these and they are pretty cool!

Enkei J10 - I hope they come in the offset I need though

^^ Damn...Just found out the offset is +38 on these rims....I don't think that's gonna work.

Anyone running an offset that low?

Any got other suggestions? I'm looking to spend about $200 or so a rim for 18". That's about all I can afford right now, and the guy wants my OEM wheels/tires in the next couple of weeks.

that's a tough budget for 18s. you might look at what Mandercruso was looking into, I think her total budget was under $1600 for wheels + tires

lol...Yeah I know X...It's just that I wasn't planning on getting rims yet. Then I was showing a coworker my bodykit and he was like: "I like your rims..I wanna put them on my CL. I was about to buy new tires anyway, so I'll give you $850 for them." In my head I was

It was such a good offer, but the thing is the guy needs the OEMs very soon. Thatz why I'm on such a limited budget.

Part of me is thinking I should just wait, roll on stocks, and get the rims I REALLY want later.

Hmm...I could put them rims on my credit card though

Hmm....Maybe I should increase my budget to $300 a wheel. Think I could get a decent set for around that price?

You're probably better off waiting all in all. You are pushing yourself into a purchase due to your friend buying your wheels. You said before you were saving to buy some later. Now you have decreased the quality of wheel you are looking at just to make an extra 300 bucks off your friend.

You should just wait and go with what you really want rather then rushing into something you just might regret later down the road. Then you will be out more than 300 bucks.

before I lowered my car the ride got harsh going from 235/45r17 Pirelli to
225/40r18 Fuzion. Thumpy on bumbs. The car bounced alot with higher
spring rate of the tires. It was already needing Koni shocks even
with stock springs. After lowering it was unbearable.
I worked with tire pressures and adjustable shocks.

I now have 235/40r18 Fuzions on the rear while I wait for the front 225's
to wear out. This is the right size for this car and 18x7.5" rim, has enough SW.
And it takes up some more of the fender gap. I didn't like the look of the
fender gap on 225/40r18 even when lowered. 235 is only 5mm taller SW
but is looks like significant more tire on my car when you see 235 on the back compared to the 225 up front.
The larger air volume will give the 235 tire a lower spring rate and reduce the
thumping.

The 225/40 is ok, but 235/40 is better. I saw a new beetle the other
day with new rims and short tires, it looked rediculous with huge
fender gap. 225/40 is not that bad on TSX but it is a bit small where TSX
already has too much fender gap.

The Fuzion e appear undersize in width. I think Bridgestone establishes
the 235 SW width to the curb rib because the upper SW width tapers down from
there. I can't say any brand 235/40r18 will work as well.

The 215/45R18 is a little taller than stock which would be fine
and take up the fender gap but this car doesn't need to ride higher.
Unless your lowered lightly and have some fender gap
available. And 215 is best on 7.0" rims. It might not be right on 7.5 rims.

Yeah..I think you're right. I'm gonna have to think some more about this.

I was originally planning on doing my suspension first, so I'll maybe I should just stick to the plan.

I found out more info on this rim...
I checked the Ray's website and it's going to be about $755.00 per rim
As of now, they only have the 19" rim listed

I also found out that this is a Volk Progressiv wheel so that means it is most likely for cars with staggered wheel setups (ie. G35 and 350Z).
I hope they can sell the same size all the way around

I also called Final Stage Auto earlier today and they told me that it won't be until a couple of weeks or months before they get them...if they get them.

Hmmmmm...............GROUP BUY ANYONE?????

Great advice! Always try to buy exactly what you want. Never let price or time constraints be the main motivating factor b/c buyers remorse will make you spend more money in the end.

So, uh cmf, when are you getting rid of your Advans?

a more aggresive tread pattern will make a slightly rougher ride. I don't think the sidewalls will cause too much w/ 18s as the change is minimal. Do not go w/ 215/45, stick to either 225/40 or 235/40. 19s would use 235/35. Ask vwong or dzuy about 19", I would guess both would say it doesn't feel different, but their suspensions are also heavily modified. As for cheap Volks, doesn't really exist. You're best bet is to find a good shop locally or go through Evolution Autosports
there is a diff between 18" volk and 19" volks. even tho the 19's are light - it doesn't compensate for the weight now being distributed farther from the center of the wheel.

acceleration w/ 19's is def better w/ the stock wheels and/or my old 18" volks.

if performance is a concern - i would buy 17" volks.

18" volks is a comprimise - will make you car slower than 17's would but look better.

19" volks are for mainly people who are concerned primarily with looks.

there is nothing wrong on going either path.

i noticed a world of a difference w/ all my engine mods with stock wheels in comparison to the 19's.

with stockers - i can easily break the tires loose in 1st - and i can even chirp the tires shifting into 3rd.

Just talked to the guy who wanted to buy my rims and he's going to just buy new tires for his current rims.
Looks like I'm not getting new rims.

That's fine with me, I'm gonna go back to looking for suspension now.
Thanks to everyone who posted in the thread and helped me out. I appreciate it fellas

Call WheelsBoutique (go to www.wheelsboutique.com and the number is on that page). Dial ext 201 and talk to Ben. Tell him Amanda Caruso sent you his way. They have the best prices out there and, depending on what you order, can have them to you in a week or less. I ordered mine last monday and got them yesterday. $1500 total for 18x7.5" Enkei RP03 with 235/40-18 Falken Beta FK-451 tires, locking lug nuts, center caps, shipped, mounted, balanced, EVERYTHING!

Maybe he found out that the price he offered was too high, or he was just BS-ing you.

Just something that I have observed over the years. Most people just talk (like I'll buy your stuff for X amount), I always don't take that too serious until there's money on the table.

Good thing that you found out now.

If you change your mind, check out the private sales section, i'm selling 2 of my volk 18" ce28n's in mercury silver for $500 for both. One has a slight bend but it can be repaired, you would just need to order 2 more and you'd have a sweet set of volks for only $1500. I'll even pay for shipping! Can't wait to get my hands on a set of GT-V's... Their so damn hot!

But arent the 19's still even a lbs or 2 lighter than the stock 17's? I hope I don't notice to much lag in power.... it has the same total diameter of the stock rims...I dont know we will see... for the same power at least.
