a-spec suspension

i'm thinking of getting some 18" Volks, but having a little dilemma with suspension.

i plan on getting the a-spec upgrade (suspension, bodykit, etc).

does the a-spec suspension upgrade drop the car a bit? is it enough that it will look ok?

i really don't want to get aftermarket suspension because of warranty, any suggestion how it would look?

IMO it looks okay, however you wont get rid of the wheel gap if that is your intentions. My buddy has the A-Spec w/ some 18's and he's okay w/ it. But when he saw my car he was pretty stoked about my baby. But its all up to you in what you are looking for. The A-Spec offers a minimal drop and offers a less agressive ride you could say.

Hmm guess it depends on how low-profile the tires are as well.

i need to decide which Volks to get.. i am undecided between 5 of them - then the whole offset thing just makes it worse

Tough choice. All those Volks look great, but I prefer either of the first two you linked.

My favorite Volk's are the GT-7's. I have the A spec suspension on my car now and while i'm happy with it i kinda wish i spent the extra money for coilovers. I'll probably upgrade to Tanabe's next summer.

Sebo,

There's a good thread here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26220

I've gone ahead and taken the pictures from that thread for you:

My Gunmetal LE37s with A-Spec:

vs. Tanabe Coilovers:

PWP TSX w/White LE37s on A-Spec w/body kit:

And also, there is always the Wheel Gallery for pictures of Volks.

btw, the color of the car is metallic blue.

i think it's between:

GT-7
Progressiv TE
Progressiv Spoke

the Progressiv ME look like can be a pain to clean because of all the spokes.

difficult decision

Well, check out the link here: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26306

To see what the GT-7s would look like on a blue car. BTW, even thought the MEs might be hard to clean, I think they'd look great on the car. Something close to the Euro-R wheels and Work Emotion CRs.

yeah i agree, they'll look nice.. i haven't seen a TSX with the MEs so i dunno - that's why i am more interested in the GT-7 because i have a better idea of how they'll look on the car.

now all i need is tires as i stated here.
