One tire with low pressure... should I be worried?

My TSX is about 2 weeks old (just under 500 miles). Yesterday, I measured my tire pressure (after driving about 10 minutes to get the gauge, so they weren't cold). Three of the four tires were between 35 and 37 psi. However, the rear driver-side tire was 22 psi. Of course I put more in (32/30 cold now), but I'm wondering if driving on it for that long would cause uneven wear or any other problems. My dealer said it wasn't an issue unless I had over 1,000 miles. Either way, I'm not happy. What do you all think?

Put some air in the tire and see if it happens again. If it does, take it back to the dealer and say you have a tire that is slowly losing air, and would like it replaced.

I'm in the exact same situation as you. My rear driver-side tire pressure is always around 22 psi while my other 3 tires are at 30 psi and up. I usually have to get new air in there on a weekly basis to keep the tire pressure all even. I'm thinking about getting new tires as I am pretty sick of this.

With only 500 miles, I doubt it'll need to be of much worry. Just monitor it. If it continues to fall back to 22 psi, you probably have a slow leak somewhere and should get the dealer to look at it.

Another thing to check is to make sure you don't have any nails in the tire. When one of my tires was really low like yours, I ended up finding a nail in it.

A quick tire inspection is warranted here, followed by the already suggested monitoring. It's probably nothing.

Well, it wasn't nothing! I made an appointment with my dealership to look at the tire (and a few other things). Turns out there was a big ol' screw in it. At the rate it was losing air, I'm guessing that I must have run over it about a week after buying the car. Great timing, huh? Thanks for all the input.

That would piss me off to have to get a tire worked on and the car is only 2 weeks old!
