Noob question on wheel install
OK, I can hear the peals of laughter across the Acurazine universe as you all read this question but here goes:
I'm thinking about getting new wheels to replace the 06 stock wheels. Since they are likely to come from an online source, when the giant wheel boxes arrive on my doorstep, where do you take them to to get them installed? Any old tire place? Are there any particular places in So Cal that someone can recommend? I am staying with the 17's since I have no plans to lower the car.
OK, you can stop laughing now

just take it to any place that does tire installations. it's basically like getting your tires changed. you take it to a tire place, they remove your wheel, remove the tire from your wheel and install the new tire.

Are you getting wheels AND tires or just wheels and swapping on the stock tires?
If you're getting new wheels and tires, just have your husband (bf?) change them. You don't need a shop to rip you off.
But if you're not getting tires, then you'll need a shop that mounts and balances tires.
As a guideline, it should be no more than $15 per wheel for mounting and balancing.

I will probably wait for the stock tires to wear out then buy both wheels and tires. I guess I should purchase from a place where I can get them both together. I know of tirerack.com. and discounttire.com. Are there any others I should look at? I kind of like the G-games sidewinders and the Yokohama Avid v4S.

As someone with a brand new TSX, you should consider doing it sooner than "the stock tires wear out", as these tires seem to suck at everything aside from longevity. They will last 40k+ miles easily. You really want to wait that long?
